This wouldn't be the first time that Adam got a bit confused with geography haha. Didn't he once assume that he had flown to Scotland in 2011 in order to perform with Queen at the MTV European Music Awards, while the event actually took place in Belfast/Northern Ireland? Well, still within the UK On a more serious note, and this is only my interpretation, as the UK is physically separated from the mainland of Europe, they may tend to set themselves apart a bit in their mindset as well. Besides, remember the shock when Brexit happened? Any Brits here for input? I don’t think it’s a case of confusion. As I said in one of my later posts: I came to the conclusion, that Adam simply adopted that saying from his English friends. (My Scottish friends don’t do this, but that’s a completely different story.) . I found it the weirdest, when Adam, the American, came over for his solo-tour and said, he’s touring the UK and Europe. That sounded so wrong. Why should he emphasize on the 2 gigs in England? But hey, I take it as just a „bad“ influence. 😉 Maybe Sauli should school him. That's probably what it is. (I just wanted to infuse a bit of humor...)

Adam is working for and with Queen.. they are in charge of the PR... I know you're joking ,but This is not Adam's call

Everyone is travelling towards London, and soooooon the tour will start. And I will be there! In a week I am going to board a plane to Lisbon!!! I am going to see Queen and Adam again! For the first show, and I fully expect some costume surprises. And maybe even weird hair surprises (I really hope so)!! Maybe even a new song? Who knows. And as if that wasn't enough, the day after the show I am going to catch the night train to Madrid to see them again, on my birthday. It is hard to believe that this is really going to happen. It is such a gift that I can be there again, and they always fill me with so much joy. Who is going to be there too? Although I won't be going, I'm truly happy for everyone who can make it. Hope you have a ball, nic42! Given the generosity of concert goers who share their experience in a variety of ways (recaps anyone?), I consider myself mighty lucky to experience the magic time and again.

Hmmm, when I look for a rug it's usually one that will cover up grass stains, dirty footprints (human and four-legged0, dog vomit (excuse me for saying so), etc. This rug would do just fine!

I‘m the same. I only think, this rug is too expensive for me. But it looks great! Since Adam and his friends party in that house and Adam said, that people can keep their shoes on in his house, the rug is also perfect for him. 😉

Various stuff: First I have heard people refer to the UK in both ways. As a part of Europe and as separate. I know its technically part of Europe, but I think it's just a casual difference that some people make.
Hey, there are plenty of Americans who think that the state of New Mexico is in the country of Mexico. Just ask my brother-in-law who lives in Albuquerque. He can't believe it, but people do believe it.
I do like that big blue painting. It's pleasing to my eye. Kind of restful.
Guess Roseanne fans won't be watching "Roseanne" anymore. True colors.

I never thought that by referring to the UK and then referencing Europe that it would sound strange to those that live there. I have always separated them geographically (not politically) just due to some lingo I picked up on while in London. When traveling I would hear people say they were going over to the "continent" which, at first, sounded strange to me. Why not just say which country you would be visiting? So, in that way I felt like people were separating the "island" from the "whole".

Because I feel, that the countries in Europe (including the UK) are politically much more different from each other, than geographically. 🤔 I can simply enter a train in Brussels or Paris and travel to London in a very short time. There is a canal between them, but the same goes for Ireland and Britain. On the other hand politically, the countries in Europe are ALL completely independent with different cultures and languages.
