Do you like it though? It's definitely a whole lot of belting. If this is considered the underground, I am so thankful that Adam found his way out and into the mainstream. He has a lot of very talented friends who did not become stars. It scares me to think that if not for taking a chance on Idol, he might still be there in an ensemble cast or understudy in a theatre production. If you are a dancer then I don't think you expect to be the main attraction. But with his voice, talent and showmanship, I can't imagine he would have been as happy with a career in the background. I'm sure he has reached a level of success and opportunity that he could not have imagined at one time. Don't follow or keep up with his friends but I wonder how many from that time in his life reached major dreams in singing, acting or Broadway. I've heard a few names from time to time like Carl Brown on Broadway and Eden (Something, I think she is an actress) but how many reached a major level of success? Probably some that I didn't know were from that time. As talented, hardworking and special as Adam is, he must feel very lucky.

I wonder if Adam ever feels "haunted" by the AMAs or if he just shrugs it off and laughs about it. Not sure if the amount of complaints that followed his performance back then comes close to the ones that were fueled by Roseanne's racist remarks. Then again, Roseanne performed a twitter rant while Adam was on a live TV show. I am sure that Roseanne's comments generated more complaints.
"Adam Lambert's performance of "For Your Entertainment" closed the American Music Awards and opened a world of controversy for the American Idol star. Rolling Stone reported that only 1,500 of the show's 14 million viewers wrote letters of complaint to the FCC ..." Source: Rolling Stone Magazine.
Most of the Adam complaint letters originated from one conservative "Christian" group.

Setting that aside, I am glad Disney/ABC booted Roseanne off the air. My only question is why ABC hired someone who posed for Heeb magazine dressed as Adolf Hitler pulling burned cookies in the shape of people from an oven -- which Roseanne did in 2009.
Wow. I had no idea. I have never watched Roseanne or followed her, but I knew who she is. The Hitler story is very scary. Looks like a TV network like ABC might be another influential source in this country that has opportunistic tendencies.

When I watched the above Zodiac video I wasn't sure how to react - it almost hurt my ears but thought that some might like it. I am glad that Adam took a chance with Idol, and I wholeheartedly believe him when he states that he considers himself very lucky. I rewatched the recent interview from NYC again - what struck me this time was his statement that he likely wouldn't be advertising for the Vegas residency as Queen's lead singer if he had not performed Bohemian Rhapsody at the Idol auditions and if Spike hadn't found out about it and forwarded a video of it to Brian and Roger. Queen combined with a platform for a solo career through Idol is a huge blessing and it put Adam firmly on the map.

Pretty sure ABC knew what they were getting with Roseanne. IT was popular for a show about a middle class family. That tackles social and family issues. And I Guess Roseanne got away with a lot of stuff in the 90s. It is different now of course. I am guessing Roseanne was not on ABC. Funny this is the show it self was more tame than Roseannes Twitter Acc. In regards to Adam. I did see someone say How ABC Censored Adam in 2009 for being "Obscene". But than take this position with Roseanne. It well leave a hole in their lineup. Was the most watched show of the season.

Well let's see ,Alison won the voice .. some of the above entertainers were in Hair ,Germany ,with Adam.Oh yes Adam was so smart to go for AI. He took a chance and it paid off big.. There are just soooo many talented folks who never get a break.. Adam is like one in a million. My life would be a bit black and white without Adam.. He makes it technicolor.

Alison won TV but her career did not take off. And I think I remember someone saying that Terrance had auditioned for TV but did not get selected. And there was another Adam friend who tried out for Idol right after Adam's season but did not get selected. Wonder if any tried to get on these shows before Adam decided to go for it. Obviously TV was not out there when Adam was on Idol. If they had tried and failed would he have taken the chance? Just thinking out loud. The decision he made changed his life in a huge way and ours. I can hardly remember who or what held my attention before Adam, lol.

There is nothing blah or vanilla about him. Always a bit on the edge, and, at times, REALLY over the edge! That's what I love about him. As for Adam (and some of his friends) auditioning for Idol, I have to think that during theearly selection process, way before the "judges" take over, the selection is based on lots of things. Voice, attitude, looks, back story, personality, uniqueness, etc. Somehow, some way, Adam was considered a good pick. The rest is history. As for Alisan, somehow her being the winner didn't bring all it promised (as is often true on Idol, too). She didn't get "the deal" that she thought she was due. The ranks are crowded with singing show alums who didn't wind up with much fame or fortune, even if they won. That's why Adam is indeed in a pretty elite group. So many really talented artists never make it to the big time via a singing show or any other way. There's a lot of luck involved.
