Absolutely love George Michael's music and so sad when he passed. We had our first introduction to Adam last summer at a QAL concert so I was just starting to follow him when he performed at this event. Stunning cover of One More Try.
IMO QAL is the gig of a lifetime for Adam. Ten, twenty years from now I think he will be very happy he didn't walk away from this opportunity. It won't last forever. Touring the world with iconic rockers who treat him like their son while securing his financial future -- so wonderful for him. He's got time to pursue many more dreams and has already achieved so much. Such respect for this young man who was willing to work several years learning his craft and doing what it took to follow his dreams. So much we don't know but I have confidence that he's making the best decisions he can. He certainly has lots of fans who want the best for him.

Probably too late to the party, but what the hell. IMO, people need to remember that it's perfectly possible for fans to recognize the many benefits Adam gets from the QAL collaboration, yet still be "over" it for themselves. 2017 was almost completely QAL, and we're over halfway through 2018 and it's been more of the same. For those fans who aren't so much into QAL - and FWIW I don't remember a requirement that one be a Queen fan when I filled out my fandom application - there haven't been many current projects to get excited about for quite a while. I totally get why Adam has devoted so much time to QAL, and would never dream of going on Twitter or Instagram to criticize him for it, but that doesn't mean I get excited when yet another QAL project is announced while his solo projects are still so indeterminate where timing is concerned. Not saying there aren't reasons for it. Not saying he has anything to justify or apologize for. Just saying that it isn't fair to try to stifle people from expressing their frustration about this long stretch of All QAL, All The Time while in the relatively safe confines of a fan board. It's better than complaining on Twitter or Insta. The purpose of boards like this one is for conversations between fans, not for conversations directly with Adam, or Brian, or whomever. If they decide to read here, that's on them. I haven't seen anyone be insulting - just ready for Solo!Adam again. When people stop caring about getting solo projects from Adam, that's when he needs to start worrying. This isn't directly related, but it brought to mind the objections some expressed about less-than-positive comments about Adam's facial hair situation - that we don't really have the right to say anything because he's on his own time right now. If commenting on photos that Adam poses for while out in public, in the knowledge that they will almost certainly make their way to social media, is considered invasive and overstepping, where are the objections to the lengthy conversations about the layout and furnishings in Adam's home that are often prompted by social media postings from friends or acquaintances who don't even tag Adam, but are discovered because some fans make it their business to follow everyone who has ever breathed the same air as him? Or what about the speculations about his personal relationships prompted by those same sort of social media posts? I understand why conversations like that happen - it's what fans do - but a little consistency would be nice. IMO the problem lies with any criticism of Adam, not with invasion of privacy issues. Different kettle of fish. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ to all of it.

I sort of agree with Cleopatra....the thing is, though, this happens on any fan board really. It doesn't seem to matter what conversations we have, the conversation will tend to offend somebody, or make somebody uncomfortable. There are those fans that don't want to discuss anything but the music, and those that are offended by any perceived criticism...there are those that don't want to discuss relationships, and those that feel uncomfortable talking about his hair, beard etc.
I figure as long as we're within board guidelines, it's all good.
I do, however, cringe when I see criticisms (beard, weight etc) all over twitter, etc. or speculations on his relationships. It's one thing for us to discuss it on a fan board, another to throw it out there for the whole world to see, including Adam. Or those fans that confront him directly re his appearance, or clothes, etc...not cool.

Lol, and again with the duck lips.
Must be a thing, because I see Jake does them too.

Whoever is managing Kelly Clarkson is doing a good job. She's done The Voice judging and she's on lots of award shows, etc. I think Adam would shine....like he did in OZ XFactor...on a US talent show as a judge. He needs more US exposure IMO. I'd like to see him with some kind of fragrance or fashion line or as an endorser of one of his favorites...Gucci, Alex McQueen, Versace, etc. He's already done TV via Glee. I think he'd love to have a small role in another Ryan Murphy show like AHS or Pose. Now he's doing animation via Playmobil. I really hope Phil McIntyre gets him lots of opportunities going forward. He's had one Grammy nom and I'd like another or a win and would love a nom for an Oscar for a movie theme, etc. I think over time he'll do a wide variety of projects. Speaking of Phillymack....just saw this article on Twitter about Demi with Phil mentioned a couple of times. Fingers crossed he's a good manager and Adam is happy with him. pagesix.com/2018/08/04/insiders-say-demi-lovato-was-surrounded-by-enablers-before-overdose/ETA: And yes, he keeps busy. He is project oriented...as he has told us...and enjoys working. I'm so glad for and proud of his work ethic. Kelly is managed by her husband (he also manages Blake Shelton). She has been everywhere and then some but her album and her first single did just okay. The second single did almost nothing. And internationally she has not done well this era. It is a strange to me how so much promotion and exposure can produce so little. If Adam gets half of that I would be over the moon because I think it would produce results.
