I agree with this. I went to 3 LV shows and I did not think the audience was less into the show than at any of the other 30 QAL shows that I have been to. I've sat in the stands at arena shows where the audience was less rowdy than at LV.
@pattihum: Seen some speculation on what the Vegas audience was like. I only went to the last 2 shows, and these audiences were fabulous!! Loud, appreciative, and great singers! Glamberts and Queenies from around the world filled this theater! So much love for both Adam and the band! ❤️👏

In regards to yesterday's thread with the discussion about Brian and his tweet, I must say that at my three shows I was surrounded by loving and adoring Queen fans who came from many different locations (but unlike Q3's experience, none were from outside the US). They were all enthralled, sang along with many of the songs, including "Love of My Life" (and at the start of that song, turned on their lights almost immediately), did the clapping during Radio Gaga, etc. I thought the theater was "rocking", and it didn't feel any less loud or enthusiastic than at other QAL shows that I have attended, including arenas and The Joint in Vegas four years ago (which was a far less desirable venue than the Park Theater in my opinion).
Who knows what is going through Brian's mind? Yes, Vegas does feel "shallow", especially on the Strip. I've been to Vegas many times in the past for conventions at the Mandalay Bay, and always enjoy my time there, in part because I don't stay on the Strip, and when I go to casinos, it's usually the off-strip ones which are much less loud and smoky. There are so many incredible places to visit fairly close to Vegas (Flagstaff, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Valley of Fire, and the list goes on), and Brian obviously enjoyed seeing the huge meteor crater near Flagstaff, Az. Perhaps staying off the Strip might give Brian some peace and quiet - the Strip does become overwhelming if you stay around too long. There's other place in the US like it.
The chances of another residency sound very iffy after Brian's thoughts about being there for one. However, and I'm being selfish here, it is so much better for me to stay in one place for multiple concerts since travel is so difficult for me, so I hope it happens again! If not, I'll try to attend QAL and Adam solo concerts as best I can. My advice if there is another residency in Vegas is to stay off the Strip if you can (yes, a car would probably be necessary, but as an alternative there is good public transportation that can get you to the Strip and from the airport, and at some of the outlying hotel/casinos like the South Point and the Silverton, they offer complimentary transportation for guests).
I am just so thankful they did this one residency, even if it's the only one!!! I just hope and pray that they keep performing together!!

As much as I dislike Vegas, for me personally it really works well since there is one nonstop flight out each day from Birmingham and getting to see 2 or 3 shows on one travel works well for me. I think staying 5 nites for 3 shows made the off hours down on the strip not such fun....put me in a funk due to casinoitis. IF there is a next time....I think 3 nites for 2 shows wouldn't tire me as much.

Yes animaldoc, the Park Theater was Soooo much better than The Joint. Besides the physical and acoustical superiority of the Park Theater, the Park Theater was very cool with folks taking photos and videos as long as no flash was used (flashes disturb the performers and can be a safety issue). The Joint was very hard nosed and disruptive in trying to prevent folks from taking videos and in some cases photos.
Also, the casino at the Park MGM was not near as smokey as at other LV casinos I have had to walk through. And the walk from my room through the casino to the theater was much shorter than at most of the other casino hotels. I would stay at the Park MGM again.
