Agree. Pretty sure Adam can deliver the song for the dancers with no problem. What is difficult for some to sing is hardly difficult for him. He adapts and interprets well. Heck, he did a great job with Kris Allen in the way, lol. Sure impressed Brian. He was almost jumping out of his skin. of course it is easy for Adam. that thought did not even occur to me, I meant of course that for normal denizens it is harder than it seems. Not unmanageable, just a bit more demanding rhythmically and vocally, than people presume. That's all. I was only commenting about him being able to sing the song to accommodate and flow with the dancers and why I thought it would work. I was hoping for WWTLF but they had their own ideas, lol. I didn't think you or anyone were saying Adam could not deliver.

@lurleene. You mean he won’t be wearing the crown? melliemom . On 2nd thoughts - think it will make for a great performance.... I do realize that the choice of WATC is a very clever move for the large Queen fandom, as it is a unifying and celebratory song. At least that's what my impression has been so far after every live QAL concert. After the finale and WATC the world seemed to be alright. Perfect also for this time of the year.

Adam singing Queen on Strictly is a direct tie-in to the movie. He has to sing an iconic Queen song. While I love WWTLF, it is not one of their "greatest hits." Was it even released as a single? Queen fans and Adam fans know it, but not the general public probably. WATC is known by anyone who has ever gone to a sporting event. It is instantly recognizable. It makes sense to use for the movie promo.

Adam has tweeted that it's WATC for sure, right? I'm not disappointed at all. It's a great song and it really shows off his voice. And I'm sure the dance routine will fit in well. Can't wait to see it! I was gone all day tonight to kind of late to the party. So, there's chance that Adam may perform at the Kennedy Honors tribute to Cher? But maybe not on the televised part? Kinda confused. Sure would be great if is happened. I'll bet anything Cher is a Glambert. The show announced WATC in their closing minutes, the dance we got from somebody probably in the audience. We do have a radio DJ saying Adam will be in town and linked to the Honors show and another "source" saying he will be there and singing Believe. We'll find out tomorrow for both, probably. We may not find out on the Honors until the TV show before xmas. I missed this one - what is the “Believe” source? I thought it’s just a conjecture...

It wasn’t their biggest hit of course, but hardly an unknown album track.

I just checked and wondered, why I know that song so well, that it has always been my favourite, although I‘m not a regular listener to radio and I didn’t have a Queen record. The answer must be, that the German band „Dune“ had covered the song in 1996. They were in the Top 10 in many countries around Europe (Germany number 2) and stayed pretty long in the charts. Just from the numbers, that cover was more successful than the original. I was a teenager back then, so I must remember that one. Although I always connected the song with Queen...
