Adam liked this in Twitter a few days back. I wonder if he agrees. I would imagine so. Well.... he doesn't like tweets often, so he must really agree with this. At the other hand, he also uses clips that were made by fans for his instagram account, so it helps him too. And the fact that there are many youtube videos that testify of his amazing talent doesn't hurt him either. For me, I consider those fan vids a lifeline! So many amazing moments, sometimes in the middle of the night, listening to him sing, getting touched, comforted, lifted up by his voice. To imagine that I couldn't experience that anymore is a scary thought. At the same time there is a balance of course. If you have to sing for an audience of smartphones, that is no fun. Also, to know that every little mistake you make, every weird joke, every wardrobe malfunction, will be plastered all over the internet in no time, that is a stressful idea I think.

I think this tweet was especially about someone filming in a theater, not at a concert. That‘s a big difference.

twitter.com/lyndseyparker/status/1092621196275773440Rema Vineyard @remavineyard I'd love your thoughts on why Queen has never done the halftime show? Lÿndsey Parker @lyndseyparker Honestly my only guess is until relatively recently they were probably seen as an oldies review act (in the US) and not relevant. Obviously that’s all changed now. Now they should be headlining Coachella, doing halftime, the works.

Is that what Lyndsey thought of them when she went to their show? I never got the impression from the US reviews or the fans who attended and filled up arenas that they saw them that way. Nice!

I don't agree with Lyndsey as some folks may have seen Queen as not relevant. Adam Lambert as lead singer, helped to make them very relevant . I do agree that now they are on top of the world

I never got the impression from the US reviews or the fans who attended and filled up arenas that they saw them that way. Nice! I don't know. I kind of got the impression that she meant Queen pre-Adam. Since Adam joined them, it's been nothing but UP. Maybe I'm wrong. I agree with you that the US tour reviews have been good overall and the fans have loved the shows. When Lyndsey said, "That's all changed now," does she mean "since Adam" or since "the BoRhap movie?" Yes, the movie has been a great recent boost. But the biggest "BOOST" for the band overall has been Adam himself. I think QAL has been a logical choice for the SB ever since Adam joined them. Their "arena presence" and their iconic arena songs set them apart from any other band being considered for that particular occasion. The success of the movie is just frosting on an already delicious cake, giving them that added dash of "currency."

There's difference between taking a few short vids on your phone during a concert and recording the whole entire show. That would drive me crazy, too. But, of course, we do all love those precious fan vids that keep us connected to the show as if we were right there. God bless them. It's a dilemma.
