I was watching American Crime Story/The Assassination of Gianni Versace and I had to give it up. Just couldn't finish it. With Darren Criss winning so many awards I thought I would tune in. And I remember hearing about the killing spree so I was familiar with what it would be about. But it was WAY too freaky and dark for me. If Adam continues his acting (I think he will) I can't imagine him in a role that ugly. It will take me some time to get that image of Criss out of my mind, lol. I see why he won the awards cause he payed that part too well. I hope Adam feels better soon. I have not missed getting a flu shot since I had the flu some 20 years ago. Thought I was dying. Interesting that you bring up "the Assassination of Gianni Versace". We just finished it. Even though after every episode I told myself that I wouldn't continue as it is just too freaky, gory, and dark. Well, I couldn't resist and made it through as I was too drawn to the story. I agree that Darren Criss was shockingly good in this role but I too would never wish for Adam to take on anything like that. I think it is less freaky toward the final episodes.

It was this text, plus a clip of the ending of the Believe performance....where he hits the high notes and shows Cher's "wow" Lenny Wee December 29, 2018 · Had the best time creating this orchestral arrangement of Cher’s “Believe” for Adam Lambert at the Kennedy Center honors, along with fantastic electronic programming by Miguel Gandelman. I think we managed to make some magic here bro! #kch #cher #believe #arranger #orchestra #adamlambert #musician There are also a couple of interesting comments from Lenny responding to others. I didn't know how to insert a screen shot of it but here are the comments: Emory Davis: This was similar to the one he sang on the show during Hollywood week without the orchestration of course right Lenny Wee: I did a lot of reharm on this one...and came up with different the ending. But yeah similar vibe! David Bawiec: DUUUUUDE! I’d been listening on repeat to this one! You did this?!? The new chords are f*%$in’ brilliant!!!! 😍 Lenny Wee: Thanks!....the melody hangs on 2,5 and 1 for the most part, so quite a lot of options for reharm. Most of my reharm was done by creating an ascending baseline and harmonizing on top of it. Appreciate your posting this for me (you to bamafan). Not that I know what the heck hanging on 2,5, and 1 means etc haha...but just to know others in the music world appreciated the flavor and the vibe of the work that went into creating this special rendition of Believe WITH Adam. No doubt the collaboration took more than a few minutes of creative genius !!! as the music and the styling would not be something that you could imitate from the original.

I had been checking it out since Darren won but haven't finished the whole thing. DH thinks it is just too scary and won't finish it but I will plan to now since you say it is less freaky toward the final episodes. Darren looks shockingly like the actual guy and has the same ethnic background (Filipino and Caucasian).

Busy day for me! Just gotta say: Get well soon, Adam! You have a lot on your plate! And good luck to Rami, BORhap and the whole BR film family at the British awards tonight. Hope they go home with some awards!

The arrangement was brilliant. "Reharm" is short for "re-harmonizing", meaning changing the chords played behind the melody. The original song had very basic chording/harmony. This arrangement was much more complex and interesting. The 2, 5 and 1 refer to the notes on the scale for the melody. There are 12 notes in a scale in western music (do, re, mi, f, sol, etc). The melody of "Believe" uses mostly just the 2nd, 5th, and 1st note of the scale, repeatedly (re, sol, do). Rather pedantic and boring, actually. Altering the bassline and harmony of the arrangement made the melody more interesting. Then, Adam also added notes and varied the melody, as he often does for artistic and dramatic purposes. The arranger and Adam worked well together to create and actually reinvent the song. They did much more than just change the tempo and make it a ballad rather than disco. I would love to see them do more "covers" like this together.

I enjoyed it all the way thru. Yes, it was dark and ugly....but so was the real story. I thought Judith Light was very good in it as well as Darren and enjoyed Ricky Martin as the lover/bf. I see lots of similarities in Ricky and Adam...I think Adam could have played that part, but Ricky had the Miami/Latin flare for the role. We know that Ryan Murphy wanted and got Adam for Glee, I wish he'd put him in one of his AHS episodes or another Crime Story or one of his other projects. I know Adam would love to have a small role on AHS. I posted this the other day. I have never watched "American Horror Story" so is it like a horror film type show or is the name misleading? I will only watch shows like that if someone I really want to see is in it. Like Adam, lol. It is just hard for me to get some images out of my head. I love "Game of Thrones" but I mute the sound and look away when it starts to get too gruesome. HA! "Gus Kenworthy will join the cast of "American Horror Story" for its ninth season. The openly gay U.S. Olympic silver medalist and professional freestyle skier will star as the boyfriend of Emma Roberts' character. Ryan Murphy, the FX show's creator, announced the exciting news in an Instagram post on Wednesday." www.yahoo.com/gma/olympic-medalist-gus-kenworthy-taking-role-american-horror-190203145--abc-news-celebrities.html

Domestic Gross for the weekend has been updated. It added about 1.3 million (estimated) Total Lifetime Grosses Domestic: $210,679,432 24.9% + Foreign: $633,728,896 75.1% = Worldwide: $844,408,328 www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=main&id=bohemianrhapsody.htmDropped over 500 theaters, but gross dropped not by the same percentage. So holding on pretty good. It now has an almost 2 million advantage over ASIB domestic which also dropped about 500 theaters. Foreign is not updated yet.
