I'm not sure i agree that age difference in heterosexuell relationships are less of a subject. A friend of mine had a boyfriend who was 13 years older (23/36) and it was talked about. Not necessarily in a bad way, but it did come up. And it definitely wouldn't have gone unnoticed with my friends had i brought home a 37 year old when I was 21. Even now my friends would be a bit surprised if i brought home a 37 year old, even though it's just ten years difference in age. Men get alot of comments if they date someone considerably younger like 20 years younger. Midlife crisis, horny, superficial are definitely used in that context. And it can still work out for those with bigger age differences. Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent are 13 years apart, happily married with 2 kids. I guess it just boils down to the people involved.

Agree but I was only talking about Page and Freddie and who was being harassed. One for sexuality but the other dating a 14 year old underage teen seemed to go unnoticed. I think Adam and Javi will be fine. Their age difference is just not that big a deal, imo. Their business. Some will try to make it so but they are both adults so hopefully they will be allowed to live their lives in peace and on their terms. But sadly maybe not. Many rock stars faced issues for relationships with underage girls -- Lori Maddox (the 14 year old who was with Bowie, then Jimi Page) is probably the most famous case. The legal consequences in the past were minimal or avoided with "tricks" -- but some artists were banned from the radio and a few were convicted. www.thedailybeast.com/david-bowie-and-rock-n-rolls-statutory-rape-problem
I am not sure what this has to do with Adam. It has nothing to do with Adam if people would take the time to read what I actually posted.

But we kind of went on a detour from your post. As for Javi and his self-image, I find that very good-looking people are totally aware of the power of their looks. Some of them are humble and self-effacing. Some are pretty pushy about it. Good looks are a real asset that can get you places. It sure hasn't hurt Adam to be extremely handsome. I've seen him deflect compliments about his looks many times in interviews by saying the other person looks very good, too. Javi's got a beautiful face and right now he's pretty fascinated with it. LOL

I know everybody does it, and Javi is certainly adorable, but we used to call people who are constantly in front of a mirror, or in this case constantly taking selfies, vain. That was back in my day. It's hard to argue with the fact that it takes a certain amount of narcissism and vanity to constantly post inconsequential pics of yourself. My niece does it too...all the time...and it makes me cringe. I know, at least in her case, she's looking for attention. I can't wait until the trend passes. It could also be a visual diary for his family in Spain to show how he's doing and what he's up to in LA.. His mom will never have to complain that he never sends her photos of him..

Yes, no worries on that account. ( or what he is up to--- at least she knows he shows up for work, and what he is up to on most of his weekends)

My niece does it too...all the time...and it makes me cringe. I know, at least in her case, she's looking for attention. I can't wait until the trend passes. The obsession with selfies nowadays seems to not only be exclusive to the younger generation. Even some friends of mine feel the need to constantly document every move they make, and I admit that it is annoying at times. However, I have not associated it with narcissism or being vain, and that goes for Javi too. I think it it just a "new" way to communicate or connect or for some stay "relevant" on social media. (That is a topic in itself though). Javi appears to have a good sense of self which I think can't hurt when dating a celebrity. A wallflower would probably wilt or get boring pretty soon. I just realized that Terrance posts a lot of pictures of himself as well and I always like them. Never thought about him being vain. Anyways, every observer or follower probably has a different threshold and perception. So far, I do enjoy getting pictures from Javi. And it looks like the latest one is not of himself.
