I know nothing about what Empire does. I have a musician son, though, who is on an indie label that is smaller than Empire and his band's music is still released on CD. They also put out a limited run of vinyl. Probably the number of printed CD's is quite small, but for now one can purchase their albums in CD format from several sources, including amazon.
A lot of CD's are purchased at their shows from the merch table.
So although streaming is becoming dominant there may still be some CD's for a while longer. peace&love
I like having CDs and Vinyl for my favorite artists even if I don't ever open them. And my Adam ones are mostly still sealed up. LOL! I was looking in a drawer last week for something and I found these unopened Adam CD's. I always use a few then stash the others. Gotta buy from more than one place. HA!

Thanks Betty for my delicious birthday cake! I am mostly a lurker but I am on Atop several times a day. It is my one and only Adam site and I appreciate all of you so much! Now that I am retired, I hope to post more frequently. Sadly though, right now I have left my home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to provide end of life care for my younger sister in Ohio. She was recently diagnosed with end stage pancreatic cancer and has only a short time left. Atop provides me with some moments of pleasure in an otherwise heartbreaking time in my life. And watching/listening to Adam's recent performances over and over, especially the live version of Feel Something, soothes my soul. So very sorry to hear this; I can imagine the heartbreak. Glad Adam’s voice gives a little comfort at this time.

@billboardpride: How #Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" went from a minor hit to one of the band's signature songs: blbrd.cm/4K2bsD They also mention Adam: It’s also become an indispensable part of Queen’s “Plus Adam Lambert” live iteration; the song has been played on every tour for the last five years and is one of the most electrifying moments of the set.

I'm lamenting the probable loss of the physical CD. Not sure if it's feasible to release one anymore, especially with an Indie label. Guess I'll just DL his music and make me a CD. I have an old car and guess when I trade, the new one won't have a player. Time moves on. I don't listen to radio music anymore and don't like the streaming either...but I'll stream a little bit, especially just after a single release. Much preferred to buy multiple CDs and hand them out. lol Empire has a distribution deal with Universal Music Group -- so not indie distribution. My bet is that they will release some form of premium fan version of A4 with a CD and a download and more stuff so they can charge a lot. I am hoping for vinyl.
They release CDs and vinyl for some of their artists. Seems to fit Adam fandom.
They have a deal to help with some of UMG's artists. I haven't seen anything that says the other way around, ie what it would be with Adam. But they seem to be able to do anything they want and Adam is certainly an outlier compared to anyone else they've ever worked with so who knows.

Oh no, how sad ...
All the best and much strength to you and your dear sister.
