Adam liked a Greg Wells post....interesting numbers I do wonder what it says when you would select "Premium" as the service type though. This is the revenue of streams by free accounts. There are also millions of premium accounts. He doesn't show that. ETA: just saw this reaction. I guess it varies per month. He selected September 2018. yourfriendjake It’s strange how the streaming dollars (or cents) work— you’ll notice on Spotify that sometimes plays are worth .0002 and some are up to .006. Depending on the frequency of play, who is listening, from what service they have and from what country they are from it really all varies month to month. It’s better than when Limewire and Napster ruled the scene, but it is still far from being fair to musicians and producers. I have to hope that just like in this decade, the 20s will bring more rapid change to the music industry— hopefully in a positive way for songwriters, producers, and musicians. akidomusic You should specify that this is only mechanicals to songwriters/publishers — the total amount paid out to the label would be closer to 0.006 x 100 000 000 = 600 000$, probably a little higher. In that perspective, it’s better to work on changing the way money is distributed rather than discouraging people from paying for streaming subscriptions.

This has the latest total pay out info. This has to be split between everyone though. I guess it's good that Adam will probably own his own music from now on. www.digitalmusicnews.com/2018/12/25/streaming-music-services-pay-2019/Spotify finally beats Amazon.Previously ranked as the service with one of the worst payouts, Spotify has steadily increased its per-stream rate. Last year, the service paid out $0.0038 per play. Earlier this year, Spotify increased its per-stream payouts to $0.00397. The streaming music giant now reportedly pays $0.00437 per play. According to award-winning cellist and composer Zoe Keating, she received $0.00543 per play on average this year. At $0.00473 per play, artists will need around 336,842 total plays to earn $1,472. With over 191 million monthly active users, and 87 million subscribers, the service has lost over $584 million so far this year. Per user, the service loses $2.68. YouTube pulls a U-Turn.Historically, YouTube hasn’t ever been an artist-friendly platform, thanks to its horrendous payouts. In 2017, the popular video platform paid $0.0006 per play. Earlier this year, the company increased its rate to $0.00074. Executives have now pulled a U-Turn, choosing to pay artists $0.00069. To earn the monthly minimum wage amount in the US, artists will need around 2,133,333 total plays on YouTube. The video platform reportedly loses $174 million each year, with loss per user calculated at $0.17.

Lol.....You need to listen with good headphones. His laugh is so him. I'm pretty sure that's him saying "Thank you my love... hola" as well. Will be interesting to see going forward if Adam skips Javi pics or maybe likes a Javi pic and doesn't leave a heart or comment. Does that mean Adam is learning Spanish?! About the social media "likes" and comments ... if I was Adam I would keep my involvement carefully measured, in order to not make myself or my relationship a target. If I was Javi, I would probably be so head over heels and would want to shout it out to the world haha. (I think he is pretty careful too) Didn’t Adam learn Spanish in school? I thought, he had said that in an interview. He didn’t learn French or German, but Spanish. Because he lived in San Diego with Mexico around the corner. He even talked a bit in Spanish, when he was with Queen in Argentina and Chile ( when he talked to the audience, if I‘m not mistaken .That‘s possible of course). He said, he doesn’t remember and know much. But the basics are there.

"It looks like Adam and Javi were out at some friend‘s party this night. Javi posted some videos and I heard Adam’s laugh. They were at a house, from where Adam had posted about two years ago. This „old Hollywood“ picture of a pavillon." Thanks, nightowl . My ears can't quite pick up Adam's laugh, but I happily believe it haha. After Javi's rather "pragmatic" post about "ambition" two days ago , I am am glad to know that the week ended on a "light" note I think his laugh comes right after the lava lamp clip. You see two people sitting beside a lamp on a table. I'm not sure what the other thing on the table is??

(I remember Adam saying somewhere that he learned Spanish in school but that he doesn't remember much. Additionally, Latino Spanish, as the schools teach it here in California, is a bit different from the one spoken in Spain. Cool incentive for Adam right there to potentially pick up or refine another skill. I have done DuoLingo through their App ... easy, just a few words and phrases per day)

I‘ve heard the question, if Adam is now going to learn Spanish several times now. That’s why I mentioned, that he learnt it in school.

It would be nice if Adam learned some Spanish. Good old high school Spanish doesn't always stick. Adam is naturally good at accents, so his Spanish will probably sound pretty good.
Adam said that Sauli taught him some Finnish, esp. swear words, LOL. But Finnish is SO different from English. It's not even in the same language group. But Spanish, French and Italian are the Romance languages. And so Adam will be learning a "language of love." I like that.

As for the streaming thing, it's all so lop-sided. Fans shouldn't have to be up during the night frantically maintaining their streaming. Technology has made the buyer so much more involved that they once were, and not necessarily in a good way. Just in a high-effort, high-maintenance sort of way. I'll continue to stream for Adam because that's how the rules are right now. That's how we give our support. It's ridiculous how little money the writers, artists, etc. make from all this. The costs are high.
It's been said that the bigger acts simply have to tour a lot to actually make good money. And touring expensive, too. Lots of overhead.
