Count me in as never thinking about genre when I listen to a song. I have such a variety of artists that I listen to that I don't really care what genre they fall into....not to mention there about a gazillion genres and subgenres out there.
I just know what I like and what touches me...that's all I really care about.

Good points made, I think. From my observations on twitter, fan feedback is mostly by applauding what they hear and like, and only very few make an attempt to "manage" Adam's career by telling him what to do. nightowl , I agree it would be easier on us to follow Adam's example and not talk about genres. A good song with a good hook is just that. Does anybody talk about genre when listening to "Feel Something"? Great points. But I don't think anyone was taking issue so much with Adam's music even if we like some cuts better than others. But for me, I was wondering why so many classify him as dance/pop where he clearly offers so much more on his albums and with song releases. That limits the charts he can appear on and the type of nominations he could get. He is not going to get nominations along with the real EDM artists or even the pop artists. So if his music crosses genres, why can't he get on the alternative charts as well? But it seems to be a touchy point, as some took it as a criticism of him, so I'll let it go, lol.

I think pretty much the conclusion of all of our conversations is....
the music business is a mystery lol.

After reading all the discussion here (and enjoying it, BTW), I agree with those here at the end who say that they don't pay attention to the genre of a song. They just like it or they don't. So many genres blend together and cross over anyway. Makes no sense to label them. I am not a country music fan by any stretch, but there are certain songs that would be labeled "country" that I really like. So my unsolicited advice to Adam fans is to just lean back and enjoy the ride and embrace the new music that he gives us. Most of us love HIM as a person as much as we love his music. I know I do. So whatever the music is like, it will be HIM singing it and he never disappoints us when it comes to being the best singer on the planet.

And that advertising it more in connection with QAL shows will most probably not change it. That was the start of the genre conversation.

Jason just started following Javi on IG and both Adam and Javi liked a post from Ryan Beatty/BoyinJeans about performing in LA at The Fonda Theater on Tues nite. That's close by. Maybe they'll go.

Adam and Pharaoh are walking up (now down) the hill behind his house. Usually Javi posts a video from that point. First time I see it from Adam.
