But it will take more than current fans streaming, right? I stream 24/7 on two formats and the video but I doubt it makes that much of a difference. If the song is not getting attention on radio or tv appearances nor is it on a ton of big playlists, then how is he going to put up big numbers without exposure? They made it clear that it was a non-single, so what more can fans do if his team is not investing to ensure success? It was a teaser and released for the Oscars. Got that. It shot up the itunes chart when we all purchased but quickly came down with no push. What more was anyone expecting? I love "Feel Something" but it is hard to hide my disappointment that there were no real plans for it."
I agree with lurleene that fans can only do that much. We can stream nonstop but it won't pick up because of no promotion. IMHO Feel Something was indeed only for the fans in that it isn't the single. I hope all that promo budged is planned for the single and album promo. Feel Something was a gift for the fans as Adam wrote. They didn't intend to put it on Spotify lists or get it on radio. So the streaming numbers reflect the hardcore fanbase in a way. Not bad numbers IMHO. Once they roll out the promo lets hope all the fans who are more casual will reappear. Look at Pink and Kelly Clarkson and Jonas Brothers (the comeback) who's fans -those who are not hardcore - returned plus they got the general population attention. Kelly by being on the Voice and Jonas by being non-stop in the news with Nick's wedding. Adam has been a lot in the media since November starting with Wicked, Kennedy Center, Elvis and of course the Oscars. I think with the documentary coming up - I think this new team have planned this and I like what they've done until now. Adam has been in the media for all the right reasons whole of 2018 and 2019 is amazing so far. He is being praised as the amazing vocalist he is and LGBTQ advocate which in current political climate in US is important. I'm not at all worried and I like what his new management have been doing since last year. I wish the single will captivate new audiences as we all want. Ghost town did that. But there is no sure way of knowing what people will like. I like the promo Adam has been getting so far. Not at all weak for a smaller team and independent label.

So here's what I'm doing for the past couple of weeks on Spotify. I'm playing the PopRightNow playlist open.spotify.com/user/spotify/playlist/37i9dQZF1DWVlLVXKTOAYa on shuffle and whenever I think of it I click the FeelSomething play button to give it more spins. Now this doesn't get as many plays of the song as using a repeating FS only or short Adam only playlist but I feel it makes me more of a real person to Spotify. I also heart songs that I like that are in the playlist, to start linking Adam to those artists and other current songs. This helps Spotify's computer program know what the song sounds like besides the beats per minute ratio. This particular playlist is important because it is a Spotify curated one. We don't know if there is an actual person or just computer algorithms behind putting it together but Spotify does look at how songs perform on it's playlists more than on regular user's playlists. This playlist shows 60 songs but it actually seems to have around 80 in it's database so if you have hearted FeelSomething it may show to you but not to everyone. Currently it has popped back up into the top 60 and shows to the majority of listeners. Another thing to note is that while the playlist has almost 700,000 followers that doesn't mean that many people are listening to it. I has had just under 39,000 listeners in the last 4 weeks. Listeners don't have to listen to every song to be counted so no knowing for us any specifics on FS, we can just hope that other people have hearted it too.
