I don’t get any negative vibe from the twink comment. It wasn’t necessary, ok. But the term twink is commonly used among gays. When they are on dating apps, they use the terms twink, otter, bear ect. to describe themselves and what they are looking for. Adam talked about it in an interview some time ago: that he was more into otters. I think Javi is a cross between twink and otter. Adam also said more than once, that he’s not into bears. These terms are used to describe the appearance, nothing more. www.ontopmag.com/article/20923/Adam_Lambert_Talks_Twinks_Bears_And_OttersI'm pretty aware of the LGBTQ terminology but I still found it derogatory to put a label on Javi right away. May I am too sensitive and "it ain't that deep" but there are many other words that they could have used. I agree. It was not necessary to put that last comment in the article. As it can be interpreted in a negative way. For a magazine about LGBTQ+ they know how it can be perceived and they put that term in there anyway. I think if it was put in an article from a news source which was not specifically LGBTQ+ involved it would have sounded differently. Since this is OUT magazine and there is no other article out there calling him that way it was put there on purpose by the author to be negative about Javi. Which is not nice. She should have ended her article with "Clearly that self care paid off and Lambert was able to open himself to love ." The last article she wrote about Adam started like this, so she is clearly not into Adam. No idea why she still get's the job to write about him then. Glamberts went wild Sunday night when Adam Lambert’s Queen cover band, which happens to actually be Queen (minus a few key members) opened the 2019 Academy Awards with an homage to Freddie Mercury and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Now that it's "instagram official" lol I'm starting to care about Javi and the relationship. Bamafan, I'm counting on you! Or someone. When did we first see Javi with Adam? Since no one seems to know when/how they met, what do "we" know? Any info appreciated. Thanks! We first saw him on an IG story by StretchyMan during a birthday party. Javi was sitting next to Adam very cosy. He also posted a picture with Javi which was deleted very soon after. Somewhere in November? 13 November apparently: twitter.com/Angel_nDisguise/status/1062234297992667136www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgpN1Sjq4i4

It almost makes it seem that Adam is not in a serious relationship but he is. Yes the term is often used in the community. However, how often would someone refer to someone they are in love with as a twink? When SS was in a relationship, his significant other was early twenties and not as tall as Javi but they did not use that term for him. I guess I can ignore them ("it ain't that deep") because they always seem to find a way to be a little disrespectful to Adam so not expecting much more. But it is rather tiring to see an LGBT outlet always doing this.

I think it is unacceptable from a gay publication to have this lack of sensitivity. Labelling versus "letting be" is very problematic, I think, but may be it's the writer's strategy to get hits. I hope that Javi is feeling the love that he is mostly getting and won't allow occasional dumb a**es to bring him down.

I am very happy for Adam and Javi but I am not very interested in Adam's private life. I could care less what opinions media and people think about Adam's relationship. Don't give Two Fux. And I am guessing neither does Adam. I am just interested that Adam is happy and finds inspiration in his career and I get to watch and listen to this beautiful man perform and make music!
Looking forward to Adam's appearance at the Glaad Awards tonight!!

But it is rather tiring to see an LGBT outlet always doing this. OUT seems to be a bit bitchy. Don't know why ,maybe jealousy.. I have a greater concern with the LGBTQ community and that's they don't really support their own artists enough.. it's totally frustrating ,because with their support ,which they give to the most popular women singers, I believe Gay artists would have an easier time with radio and getting their songs heard.. There are less than a handful, including Adam, who are heard and loved. to add Adam works his butt off to get listeners..So many gay artists are out now with great music... There are exciting new songs just waiting to be listened to. I think the press for the most part has been very supportive of Adam's music.. They seem to love him......... To add I really hope fans leave Adam and Javi to make their own way in their relationship.. Any relationship can be difficult , but to be getting various opinions on how they should be makes it so much harder..Gosh sorry I'm on a tear... time to settle down Melliemom
