Yes, CASSIE, an impossible dream come true! I loved your post (tech challenged, didn't know how to bring it over from the end of yesterday's thread). And I also agree with what SOPHIEB said concerning her reaction following the AMA's. Not to rehash that "blown fuse", as someone referred to it, but like Sophie, his response to all that backlash "cemented" my love and admiration for him. His courage to forge ahead inspired me. I'll always remember seeing him on another network the morning after (with his mom, if I'm not mistaken?) after ABC cancelled him, and realizing what a special, humble, yet fearless person he was in the face of all this criticism. Now I was certainly a fan forever!
Right now I'm in rural southwest Colorado, where my internet connection is a limited gig plan. If I want to do any video watching or downloads I have to get to WiFi (usually the local library). All this week, my dear DH is at an astronomy party in the hinterlands of Texas, fairly close to Big Bend National Park. However, he does have WiFi and a cell phone connection at the motel where he is staying. I asked him if he would try to download the documentary for me with the link CEN gave us (thank you, thank you, thank you!!!). Well, since astronomers (he is an avid amateur astronomer - think my Adam obsession) stay up until ungodly hours of the night/early morning, he successfully did the download at about 3:30 AM this morning. Then he caved in and proceeded to watch the whole thing, and said he finally made it to bed at 6 AM. His one word about it - Spectacular. Now this is a guy who appreciates Adam, but is in no sense of the word a Glambert. He likes Queen a lot, but is not a rabid fan. He has been to four QAL concerts with me, and has been impressed, but not gushing about it (like me). Adam and Queen are winning him over, bit by bit! He has always supported me with my love for Adam, with no jealousy whatsoever - how lucky am I?!
Can't wait to watch the documentary again (and again, and again....)!

Which reminds me....if we are going to arrange any sort of meet up in Vancouver, I think now would be a good time. Vancouver is a very very busy city and a last minute get together may be out of the question. If folks going to this FIRST OF THE TOUR show are interested, please go to the Van. meet up thread in the members only section, and indicate your interest.
Fiercelier and Happy and I are meeting next week and will be discussing plans soooooooo

As I recall, you were the one who arranged that wonderful pre-show get-together - thanks again! We have a lovely picture of you to remind us of that special event. What a great memory!

twitter.com/Ent_Focus/status/1123573676497043456Entertainment Focus @ent_Focus Adam Lambert and his mum talk about recognising his talent in a clip from The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story bit.ly/2XUyINS via @entfocusmusic On Monday night The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story aired in the US on ABC. The documentary looks at the iconic group and their collaboration with the American Idol star. Some clips from the documentary are available to watch, and the first features Lambert and his mother talking about recognising his talent early on and how he found his people after joining a theater group as a kid In the clip Adam’s mother Leila Lambert says, “when Adam was younger he didn’t quite fit in. He didn’t like sports.” She continues saying, “he would do a lot of acting out, fantasy things and he would ask me to film him and take pictures while he was dancing or singing. We thought there’s got to be another outlet.” Watch the full clip below: In another clip Lambert discusses taking cues from Queen’s Spike Edney during his first show with Queen. He says, “I had a lot of help. Spike, who was on keys, I kept looking at over and over again like ‘am I supposed to come in here? How long is the guitar solo? Is it my turn?’ You can watch him discussing that in more depth below: The documentary also included an intimate look at a pre-show harmonizing warm-up with Freddie Mercury that still continues with Lambert. Queen + Adam Lambert recently announced dates in Australia and Japan for 2020. twitter.com/entfocusmusic/status/1123574314152988672

Still basking in all the Adam hubbub and loving it. I keep praying with all my heart and soul that his new single does well. It's important. It's pivotal. It's essential. I pray this it's damn good, not in just our eyes, but in every listener's eyes, and ears. I want it to have a killer hook that is so perfect that my head just can't let it go. Hope there are several strong singles that come from this album. Hope we hear a great one on Idol finale night.
