Brian is so sweet. From People.Com When heās not touring the world with Adam Lambert, helping to create Oscar-winning movies, or exploring the cosmos, Queen guitarist Brian May has another passion: saving hedgehogs. āIt does feel great,ā May tells Channel 5 show Saving Britainās Hedgehogs, which features the conservation work carried out at the Amazing Grace rescue center on his estate in Surrey, England, where sickly hogs are rehabilitated and released back into the wild. āThe actual hands-on thing of saving animals is so rewarding and so inspiring,ā adds May, who earned a Ph.D in astrophysics in 2007. āItās brought me all kinds of wonderful joys that I never even dreamed of. To see these animals come in hurt, poisoned, dehydrated and see them taken care of and then let out for another chance in the wild, to me itās one of the greatest joys thatās ever come into my life.ā The rest of the story is here: www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/queen-guitarist-brian-may-helps-save-thousands-of-tiny-hedgehogs-its-one-of-the-greatest-joys/ar-AAB9jUB

I really enjoyed the Instagram chat last night, and many thanks to those who downloaded it. His happiness makes those already gorgeous eyes light up even more. And OMG, if his music focuses on the time period and genres that he said, I couldnāt be happier. Now, I donāt even care about the beard. On the finale of World of Dance, one of my favorite shows, Jennifer Lopez was describing herself and said that she was basically a āraw nerveā. I hadnāt heard this part of certain people described that way, but it 1000x resonated with me. So the raw nerve is focusing on that Queen split article, and the link wonāt let me get to it. It isnāt that I donāt believe the person who said it is BS, but I just get paranoid. So is reading it likely to be more detrimental than not? Thanks! What Queen "split" article are you referring to? I didn't see anything about that. Do you mean that India Times article that doesn't open to anything? That says Brian May said they may tour UK "one more time" with Adam? I think Brian has said they will tour "one more time" every time they tour, I bet the article was more about hinting something possible for UK in the future. I don't see anything about a split in that headline.....

I absolutely loved the IG live chat and I extracted so much out of it that makes me really happy. Adam looks pretty Zen and relaxed and his eyes and his smile are something to behold, besides the rock star "eccentricities". Here are a few things from the chat that I find super promising for this new era... "I challenged myself to get into a more soulful place" "definition of me as an artist" "more clear musically" "my private blend" The fact that he "confessed" being in love also tells me that he is in a good place and secure in his emotions. Let the fun begin!! I completely agree with you. I was really struct by "more soulful place" and "more clear musically" and "my private blend." This three phrases seem like the right direction to me.
So far I am getting really optimistic. Adam seems to be in a good place, the musical direction bit are encouraging, and the promotion is really well put together. And (much to my surprise) they have integrated QAL into Adam's solo promo in a way that is good for Adam and for QAL and that does not seem to be using Queen's fame to forward Adam's solo career.
Also - I love, love, love the album name and the peaks we have seen of the look and feel. Very much on trend to what I am seeing on campus right now -- kind of updated 60's retro without being BoHo or campy.
I am so ready for this single and album. I hope we get a QAL performance of "New Eyes" this summer.
I am thrilled that you picked up on the same stuff. Huge deal for me. I think he is really working on his "musical identity" the way he sees himself. "Velvet" is so clever and enticing - it evokes lots of emotions for me that are unique to Adam and what he's all about. He said that Queen has partially informed his new music (can't quite remember the exact quote), so I have a feeling that "New Eyes" would be a more than appropriate addition to their concert setlist. I'm so excited, can't believe that a new era is upon us finally!!!!

I know I donāt post much, but enjoy reading everyoneās updates. I just wanted to say that I am super excited for this record, and beyond thrilled with what seems to be at least partially a rock-leaning album. I believe Adam is at his best and strongest when he digs in deep and brings out that raw emotion, and I hope weāre going to get plenty of that. He is an exceptional singer and he needs strong material to shine. I think this is it, if the preview song is any indication. Also, as a longtime Queen fan, I enjoyed the documentary immensely. It was tastefully done, and Adam deserves the exposure.
