So funny how everybody sees things differently. I loved the long coat and tight pants and boots in BoRhap. Much preferred that look to the bell bottoms. I think it's just his body type looking best in slim pants and bell bottoms that wide would be hard for most to pull off. But I understand he wants to embody the 70s look....whether it's the most flattering or not....and he's gonna do that. I did like the shirt and jacket in the velvet. Not sure about the hair on Idol. It looked great in the posed photo we saw beforehand...but live it looked a little unruly...almost like the extensions were battling with the real hair....and looked like it was dry or something. It's almost like most hair down south looks when the humidity is high...lol...but they don't have that in LA. But that's just nit picking and not important. Eager to see how he looks and what NE sounds like on Ellen. Hopefully we'll have more promo performances of it as well over the next month. The more he performs NE, the better it's gonna get. I bet it was a shock to some Idol viewers who haven't kept up with him like we have....lol....both the song and the look. Altho, if they remember back to Season 8, they should have expected the unexpected. I'm just glad Carrie got one song and Adam got 2 and no other formers were even invited, except poor Maddie from last year who didn't even get to sing her new single. I was thinking last nite what a spiral down Idol has become since up to and including Adam's year. To go from a finale with both Kiss and Queen to a handful of folks last nite I had never heard of. Kinda sad. I hope that in other live performances he’ll get to do the whole song! Seems like Carrie’s awful song went on forever, and Adam’s was really truncated. And while I loved the duet with Dimitrius, the edits to BoRhap were jarring too.

Oh, for a little context on Adam's latest IG pic. Gorgeous. Now, that's hair I can live with...all the eye makeup, etc....must be some kind of photoshoot?

UltimateClassicRock @ultclassicrock 10 Years Ago: @queenwillrock Meet @adamlambert on 'American Idol': ultimateclassicrock.com/queen-adam-lambert-american-idol/ … In early 2009, Brian May was putting together a list of potential singers to replace Paul Rodgers in Queen. At that moment, Adam Lambert used the band's classic "Bohemian Rhapsody" as his audition song on American Idol. The guitarist wasn't watching, but the performance quickly made its way to him. "That [audition] rippled around the world," May said at a 2014 press conference. "I had thousands of people send me the video, saying, 'You have to see this guy!' So it immediately put [him] in there." With hindsight, it's easy to see how Queen's appearance on Idol's season finale on May 20, 2009, was a ploy by the band to get a closer look at Lambert. But, as May said in the 2019 documentary The Show Must Go On, the producers invited them on the show. Besides, with the amount of lead time needed to make this happen, there was no guarantee Lambert would even be one of the finalists. So was it a coincidence or fate that brought Queen face-to-face with Lambert that night? It's impossible to say. But Lambert believes his rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" played at least a small part in the producers' decision. "If someone had said to me, 'By the way, you’re going to be performing with them in Madison Square Garden in five years,' I would have laughed in their face," Lambert said in 2014. "This is so surreal, and I'm glad I sang that song for my audition because maybe it planted a seed. I think because of that audition that's one of the reasons at the end of the show they said, 'Okay, let’s think of some things to do for the finale.' And when I heard that Queen were going to be onstage, it was a full-circle moment then. And now the circle’s huge." More in the article....

To me Adam always looks gorgeous and this current look is fabulous. I have always loved guys with long hair and this is just the beginning of him letting it grow. It has a ways to go taking in the pictures he took with the wig. I think he wants it really long. As far as the suit, I think it suits him to a tee! The wide bell bottoms make his body look really slim to me, of course I think he's slim anyway. I loved both looks on Idol.

Uh oh, that's the look my dog's hair had if I hadn't brushed her for a few days. 😂 Not sure of this matted hair look on Adam at all but if that's what he's going for and what he's happy with, more power to him.
