The fact that Adam is following Jeremiah from Idol makes me happy. My heart dropped when he left way too early. I really like his voice. I know, not everybody feels like me. Thanks, bamafan!

Adam 's New Eyes still falling on ITunes.. Down to 135.. If he stays on the chart as high as possible until Ellen ,I think he will rebound.. So buy or gift if you can..Staying on the chart is a good thing.. He usually gets to the top ten and then disappears.. Longevity folks ,longevity..

Thanks for the reminder. Also don't forget Spotify. No reason not to do both but don't forget to stream NE. Spotify does not care if you repeat a song over and over -- for the play count. YT does care about repeats.
A tip for maximizing YT count impact. If you can manage to manually play NE video about 10 times a day, not in a row, that will probably count more then constantly running a playlist. Note: I have not personally tested this, but other fans have and the Lady Gaga fans report that random plays that are manually started are getting counted at a higher rate than playlists with repeats. And Google/YT knows that you are using a playlist with repeats.
Also, make sure that the volume is turned on on your YT player. If you want to mute the video, turn the volume off on your device. YT can detect if you mute the player. I do not know what YT is doing with player volume but YT ad execs have said it is part of the algorithm for counting views.
ETA: With almost no promo, NE is now at #104 on US iTunes, #102 for the past 7 days. That is very, very promising.
Thanks for the Spotify and YT heads-up! I will make adjustments now. I used to run an Adam centric NE Spotify playlist, but will start looping the song (and run my playlist occasionally). I will try to remember to view on YT individually, spread out over the day, and search for it occasionally, as long as I'm home. Love the song enough to be happy to do it. I'm "hypnotized"

And has I replied to lurleene, I just want some of the album to reflect Adam's BIG voice, the voice that people love and respect. He claims there is a good variety. I hope some of those songs really grab us in a big way. Have to agree with this...I'm a sucker for Adam's glory notes, and big voice. He has a talent like no one else, and I love the songs where he showcases that. Not a fan of his voice "blending" in with all the mediocre talent out there.

I listened to a couple of Jeremiah's songs on YT and I did like his voice; he sounds really good singing with Ben Platt in that Insta. He'd be a great opener for one of Adam's concerts...better than Alex? Was that his name? I don't really like his voice. I think I'd check it out if Jeremiah gets to record some music; of course, it just occurred to me, I don't know his last name lol.

TBH, I don't care one way or the other about an upbeat song from Adam. He has two songs released or simi-released. I just want to see a commitment and push for something to work. The idea that oh the next song will break big is based on what exactly, the track record? He decided to go with the love song so I hope there is more of a push to make it work. Otherwise what was the point of not really promoting the first one and see what would happen? He didn't need a talking point to express his feelings for Javi as he had done that very well. I love the new direction and vibe of both of his new songs (I really like both of them). I hope something will connect for him and not keep waiting for the next one to be the one. Some fans are already moving on the next one. lurleene, I am an eternal optimist. I have bought, streamed and viewed and will continue to do it with NE. We all want each song to do REALLY well. I'm happy with NE. But it isn't burning up the charts. Adam has an album full of songs. I just hope that at least some of those songs have a really "BIG" feel to them. Adam's signature sound, to many people, is his big voice, used beautifully. That doesn't mean that every song on VELVET has to be loud and over-the-top. But I hope some of them WILL show off that amazing voice and grab everyone's attention (not just ours) with a big, aggressive sound. JMO For a track that is not on the radio, and has only one TV performance so far, from an artist whose last album/major promo/radio airplay was in 2015, NE is doing amazingly well. It takes more than Adam's core fans to rack up 600K+ video views in a day or to get a song up to #102 on iTunes for the week. NE will chart in its first week in the US and other countries.
Yes, Adam is an amazing vocalist but that is not what makes a song a hit.
On the US Top 10, we have what appears could be a one-hit wonder on the top of the charts right now (Lil Nas X "Old Town Road" achieved 143 million streams in the U.S. in one week, breaking Drake's record) and a bunch of Hot 100 regulars.
If anyone expects that Adam can put out a song that will shoot up to the top #10 on the charts, you have lost perspective about the scale or time that takes. (Sometimes that time is a career, or a season on a talent show, or an unknown artist, it is song-time. For example, OTR was released on December 3, 2018. It has not peaked yet.)
I am sincerely curious, what does an Adam single need to do for you to call it a success? Does GT qualify as a hit by your standard? It peaked at #64 on the US Billboard Hot 100, but is certified Gold in the U.S. and has sold at 1.2 million worldwide including streaming TES. Is that a hit?

NE will move up with promotion and down between promotions. I guarantee it will go up after his Ellen Show performance. And I also guarantee it will go down without new promotion.
Staying on the iTunes chart is nice but not important.
Adam's singles do not "usually get to the top ten" on iTunes then disappear.
Keeping perspective is important. Adam's core fans can do a lot to help him, but buying iTunes tracks when the track is between promotions is a waste of money and effort. If you want to buy it and gift it, please do so. But if you are trying to change the iTunes chart, you need 10,000 fans buying multiples (gifting) and we do not have that kind of force right now.
