I really want to see this song do well. But Adam describes it as meeting someone new who is innocent (not jaded) and they are viewing things thru new eyes. How relatable does that make it to the average listener or viewer? Unless you are dating a teen, you are unlikely to have met anyone described in that way in a very long time. And the video does not reflect that anyway. I am not in a hurry to move on to the next song because I do like this one and want it to succeed. But I think people want to connect and feel something with a song and video and not only as it applies to the life of the artist. They generally want the artist to relate and tell their story as well. It can be personal but also universal if the goal is to attract more fans. For me, this is the first relatable Adam single to date. I am not making this up. I can't quite explain why I am so drawn to the song, but I think it is Adam's honesty and touch of vulnerability that really gets me here. Plus, I love the sensual vibe and sound without even paying attention to the lyrics. I am certainly not dating a "teenager" and let's make it clear, Adam isn't either. I think it is really about falling in love with someone who sees the world with an open mind and is different from anything you have experienced before, and thus really makes you see things with new eyes. That can happen to anybody at any age. I think it is impossible to rationalize art - different people are drawn to different things, but I strongly believe that vulnerability is key to making a connection. For me, Adam accomplished that in NE. About the video... I expected a love song and I was a confused when I watched the video first, so for me too the mv has more complexity than being a simple love song. I can appreciate it now as I am totally in love with the song itself and I think the vulnerability of FS was a wonderful intro. And nobody accused Adam of dating a teenager. Can we make a comment without distortion? Ever? It is all well and good what you said and feel, but that is not what he said in the interview. He said it was meeting someone who was innocent and not jaded and seeing things thru new eyes. That is why I said it may be unrelatable to most unless you were dating a teenager. But that was only my opinion that most people have not dated anyone innocent in a long long time. I don't think the song even reads that way but that is what he said it meant in the interview. And the song was written before he even met Javi so let's make it even clearer.

Uh oh! Haircut! Wonder how much? Wonder if it has to do with the QAL tour, or if he just wants another change? I predict that his hair will still be on the long side. We'll see very soon, I'm sure.

I really can't see him cutting his hair much....maybe just styling it somewhat differently or coloring it or taking out or replacing the extensions. Velvet is just starting.....he just said he was feeling it in his hair in his Live Chat....so I don't expect drastic changes.....but with Adam you just never know.

I pretty much into my 30s for some things and still feel pretty innocent in many ways. New Eyes can be a different way to look at things at work, just a different opinion. If I won the lottery tomorrow there's a ton of things that would open my eyes.

Okay...I started a post, ate dinner, came back and finished the last couple of sentences. Then, I went back to catch up and now believe I may have been confused about the entirely wrong thing to be confused about! Just disregard my last post. FYI To avoid confusion if you want your post disregarded, you can also delete any of your posts by clicking on the link next to the "edit" button at the top and click on "delete post".
