I have a completely OTT question that I would normally just direct to dancygeorgia but perhaps someone else may have some advice and perhaps that advice/info would help others as well. I have been using an apple tv to stream movies, tv shows, and any downloaded Adam stuff for over 5 years now. Just this last 2 weeks or so, I have not been able to stream movies/shows from Netflix or Prime or Crave unless I just want to watch on my computer or ipad. I see a lot of people with the same complaint on google but all the advice given from various sources, including amazon help, do not seem to fix things for more than a few minutes. SO My question is for anyone with info or knowledge about the Roku streaming sticks and how they stack up against the apple tv. The new apples 4 or 4k [don't need the k at the moment] are ridiculously expensive...Roku's are half the price...and less. The one new option I want is to be able to use my wireless earphones. I see occasional references to a Roku Box similar to the apple tv but do not find any buying options here in Canada at least...not sure what that is about... One advantage would be that the Roku remote would not continuously turn my itunes and even spotify on when I am trying to use it with my apple box...grrrrr...sosoo frustrating. My TV and box sits on top of my computer cabinet and I really do not have a convenient different place to put it..... Sorry for such a long-assed OT post...I will delete if necessary...If anyone is interested in the long winded answer I sent mszue by PM, let me know and I will copy to you in a PM.
In summary, which device is best depends on you needs and the current state of the market. It's like playing the "Leap From" game - one year one device is best, the next year another device, and so on.
My best advice is if you are entrenched in the Amazon Prime ecosphere, go with one of the 3 Amazon Fire TV devices. If you are entrenched in all things Apple, go with an Apple device, or wait for the next released Apple device if the current one is not working well. If you are not entrenched in either the Amazon Prime or Apple ecospheres, then also consider the 5 Roku devices.
More importantly, you need to determine which device specifications meet your needs best.
1) Do you need 4K or will 1080p do? I.e., does your TV support 4K? 2) Do you have single band or dual band wi-fi in your home? 3) Do you want to download videos to watch? Important if you have flaky or low bandwidth wi-fi. In which case choose a device with internal memory.
4) Do you want to listen via bluetooth headphones?
Then check the comparison tables for device models on Amazon (Amazon sells most of these devices). Or check the manufacture's web site for comparison tables.
Also note that most streaming Smart TVs and most streaming Blu-Ray players contain Apps for Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, etc. In the past, I've found Sony TVs & Blu-Ray players to have the best selection of Apps, but I haven't checked recently. In this case, you don't really need one of the above streaming devices unless you find them more convenient or easier to use

The latest Adam image in the velvet suit/bare chest😜 definitely showcases a lean midriff. Have saved the image...no kidding...eh! Javi and Adam must have both been focussed on working on these changes these past months.

The more natural looking Adam is always the most beautiful Adam to me. So if he is going back in that direction I am HAPPY, lol. He was starting not to look like himself. Why would anyone want to look like Billy Ray, or Ghrol or Navarro or Caleb Johnson or some unknown has been country singer (or any of the other silly comparisons)? Much easier when you can look like the handsome and sexy rockstar called Adam Lambert. HAHA!!! One thing we have learned about Adam: When it comes to his hair, he is totally "Short Attention Span Theater." He gets bored with the same hairstyle pretty darn quick. I think the recent trim will look really good. I liked the long hair, too, but I'm glad that it will likely be shorter for the QAL tour. Never a dull moment in Adam Land... BTW, I just saw the new Aladdin movie, too. Enjoyed it very much. Will Smith played the genie and was fantastic.

I really enjoy all the different looks: short hair, long hair, different colors, different styles, etc. But I probably would not enjoy a buzz cut.
