There is some buzz about the sexual content of RM. It deserved its R-Rating, but actually I found the sex scenes to be milder than I anticipated. I know others may not agree. I know there will be constant comparisons between the two films. They are so different. But both very good. Rocketman just opened here and I notice it has a PG rating. What was it rated where you are? I'm wondering if they cut the sex scene a bit or was it already mild enough for Canadian censors.

Back on the May 30 thread somebody asked suzysuzyqt how she found Adam. She answered at the end of the thread and I suggested that she bring it over to a new thread because people probably missed her story. I saw yesterday that she is "techie challenged" (a bit like me!) and so I hope she doesn't mind that I will share her story here. It's a good one! From suzysuzyqt: "Thanks for the warm welcome! The "accident" happened when I was watching the news back in 2014 when there was a little "discussion between Tom Petty and Sam Smith regarding the plagiarism of a Tom Petty song. They settled out of court but while this discussion was ongoing, I had to listen to the two songs ( Stay With Me & Dont Back Down) over and over and somehow, Adam came into the mix. I watched the entire American Idol contest and I was hooked from that moment! I was a music major way back in the day, so I knew immediately this was an exceptional voice & man! In all my years I've NOT heard a voice like this! He's turned out to be such an amazing personality and showman AND he has such a kind and loving heart! What a package! I had a mild infatuation with Elvis but nothing like this feeling for Adam. Sorry!! I know this is much too long!! I'm so impressed with you all! What a joy!"

Loved Adam’s performance on Ellen. It’s such a moody, vibe-y song that if you didn’t pay close attention to the lyrics, you might almost think it’s a sad song (“. . . withOUT your new eyes”) - just my random thought. He sounds almost sad when he sings that chorus, to me. I wonder how he will manage his full-on commitment to the 70’s velvet, huge collar, huge bell-bottoms look considering full-on NYC summer heat for GMA concert. I can definitely feel a melancholic undertone when not paying close attention to the lyrics, but I love the sensuality of it. Not a "typical" love song for sure, and even more so in the official music video. About the 70's/retro attire... I would totally forgive Adam if he showed lack of commitment to that look at some point (and that goes especially for GMA in NYC as I still have those hot leather pants combined with the red shirt from the TOH era in my mind...)

Yeah, I don't think bell bottoms can compare with that particular outfit/hair/everything. That was a winning combination of everything

Taylor Swift Torches Donald HeWhoCannot amed's 'Harmful' LGBTQ Stance, Issues Rallying Call To FansThe “Shake It Off” singer kicked off Pride Month by asking her fans to flood their senators with letters asking them to support the Equality Act. www.huffpost.com/entry/taylor-swift-lgbtq-petition-donald-HeWhoCannot amed_n_5cf22177e4b0a1997b6ac030 I saw her tweet earlier today. Cool that she is using her powerful "voice" to inspire change.
