I'm changing the subject here, but I am curious if Rocketman is rated R in the States. The press has made such a big deal about this sex scene making this movie more "honest" that BR. It is rated PG here. bamafan and didilynn What is it rated where you are? I'm in Cali and it looks like it's rated R; I would imagine that would also be for drug scenes, if there are any, not just for sex scenes. Movie ratings are really, really weird to me...I've seen PG-13 movies where I went "whoa !" and I've seen R movies where I had no idea why it was rated R.

I am hoping that at at least one Halloween party next fall Adam will dress head to toe exactly like his character - wouldn’t that be fun? lol, that would be a treat

Some info from Shoshanna about what Adam is going to do in the UK: shoshanna stone @shoshannastone ‘This morning’ , ‘lorraine’, Steve Wright and a bunch more pre recorded Steve Wright is a radio show. Knew he’d be on Lorraine - she loves him....right from the start. I was abroad at the time of this (first Lorraine) performance and I remember sitting in the hotel manager’s office with everyone kindly running round trying to get the programme for me. Then they watched me watching it...I was pretty embarrassed but it had to be done

Don't forget the Glee! came into the picture after Trespassing and he was able to thumb his nose at a "covers" album. Ironic in that both Glee and QAL were/are totally covers, I always laughed at that. From the comments Lino has said he saw Adam acting - I would think that would have to be Glee. And the description of Maximus seems a bit like Starchild. He had to know from that Marry the Night performance that Adam had no problem with "over the top". Speaking of Adam as an arena artist, when Paula said after one Idol performance "I don't know why you aren't #1 everywhere and selling sold out arenas". It was because he'd never been on a big enough stage yet. Idol was a huge jump from the piano bar, then the Idol large sized tour, his own headlined mid sized tour (have any of the other winners or non-winners done that?) and that was even after the AMA flap, his 2nd album hit #1 on the charts and Pharrell Williams played the songs he had worked on with Adam for Daft Punk and their song Get Lucky and maybe even Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines resulted from that new sound. He contacted Nile Rodgers on twitter which turned into a song on Adam's record and a single on Avicci's record. All by 2013. And then he became an arena artist and traveled the world multiple times over in private jets, talked the number one music producer into doing album #3 while not signed to a label. Bought one multi million dollar home, put a million into remodeling it, decided it wasn't big enough and remodeled a new one before moving into it. Got a standing ovation from Simon in the past - hired by Simon to judge in Australia - an appearance from Simon on a documentary about Adam. Got a standing ovation from Cher, opened the Oscars, tributed Elvis, mentored again on Idol, filled in as a judge on Idol, sang again and again and again on Idol by himself or with contestants. And I agree with yesterday's post, he still doesn't have this "self promotion" thing down yet. He did the Instagram blackout for one day but couldn't keep it up and I would have loved a build up. Stubborn cuss.

I just don't think Adam is very comfortable with promoting himself, maybe it's a modesty thing. He certainly loves promoting other artists. We've always said Adam is really humble, considering how talented he is.

It is rated PG here. bamafan and didilynn What is it rated where you are? It's rated R here. I don't know what criteria made it be rated R. There wasn't any explicit or graphic scene. You see two gay guys kissing and then you see somebody's bare back and somebody's else's knees for two seconds. Of course gay sex is implied but only implied. I think with Freddie....we saw kisses and gay sex was implied. I don't see much difference. That extra little two seconds of bare knees and a bare back must have constituted "gay sex". ETA I see svca thinks the R rating might have been for the drug scenes. I have no idea, but there were quite a few of those...cocaine snorting and pill popping.
