Yes, Adam is very lucky. And he hat at least one more big run with Queen this summer and next year. With maybe more tours to come, but who knows? It's up to Brian and Roger. And I have to believe that Adam makes more than $50,000 per show. At any rate, QAL has been very good for him financially. And his solo career is quite fine, too. When QAL is finally done, he will be fine. Just watched that YouTubeSpaceNY interview that was posted on yesterday's thread. I responded there but will again here. That interview contains every element of why I love Adam so much. Intelligence, wit, humor, timing, beauty and poise. I imagined this same interview being held on COLBERT, KIMMEL, FALLON and any of the other late-night biggies, with Adam saying exactly the same things. He is SUCH an entertaining guest!!! A delight to watch and a delight to listen to. I hope he cracks that "late night" barrier at some point. The man isn't afraid to talk (LOL) and his opinions are well-stated. And he's quick on the up-take with a joke. I've seen a million late-night guests and he could hold his own with the best of them. What an engaging personality! I'm with you. But Adam had a sit down with Leno. And I think with Conan O'Brien? But he was also being talked about and he had music on the radio at the time. Not sure why he did not have an interview with Corden because GT was on the radio when he performed there and Corden likes him. Can't really complain about Kimmel cause he did the concert there for Trespassing and that was more important than a sit down interview.

The stupid thing was that this article got posted just before the piece already posted. Which is completely the other way around! AceShowbiz @aceshowbiz Adam Lambert Calls Madonna 'Ballsy' for Music That Doesn't Fall in Line With Her Legacy www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00138347.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter The 'American Idol' Alum Offers An Alternative Take On The Question Whether Or Not The 'God Control' Singer Was Unfairly Judged For Her 'Care-Free, Sex-Positive' Attitude In Her 60s. AceShowbiz - Adam Lambert is a huge Madonna fan - but isn't completely sold on her new album "Madame X". The 37-year-old opened up about whether he believed the music icon was unfairly judged for her "care-free, sex-positive" attitude in her 60s during an interview with Britain's The Independent newspaper, and offered an alternative take on the criticism. "I'm a long-time Madonna fan for sure - but here's my question," the "New Eyes" singer remarked. "Does she (get criticised for her attitude to sex)? Or is she getting pushback because of the music she's making?". "I don't think it's because she's a strong sexual woman. I think it's because she's making the music of 2019 that doesn't fall quite in line with her legacy, perhaps," he continued, adding, "I have to give it to her that she's going for it, and she's ballsy and she's confident." Madonna recently came under fire for her promo clip for her latest single "God Control" - which strongly resembles the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida - with fans accusing the star of capitalising on the victims of mass shootings. Pulse survivor Patience Carter added she was "truly disturbed" by the video. The former "American Idol" star went on to reflect that, in his own work, he tries to focus on making music that's "in my world" and isn't led by what's "trendy or cool". "I never want to turn around and realise that a project I'm working on is me trying too hard to be trendy or cool or young or any of those things," he shared. "At the end of the day, I'm gonna sleep better at night knowing I made an album I like (that's) true to my experience." Adam is currently gearing up for the release of his fourth studio album "Velvet" and will hit the road as part of Queen + Adam Lambert for a North American tour, which begins on July 10. It's so easy to see why people (celebrities and others) trying to give an authentic interview go from being positive and enthusiastic about doing interviews to avoiding them and sticking to same boring talking points. I think it's especially nasty in this instance because in the original interview, the interviewer explicitly says that Adam clearly knows this is a sensitive subject (to the extent he notes Adam says 3 times he just "questions" whether criticism of the new album isn't at least partly based on reaction to music.) The interviewer clearly likes him and notes that Adam goes the extra mile for him both in honesty and time. I know the editor often chooses the title, not the writer, but to take that whole interview, ignore 99% of it, and put it up as "Madonna "pissed" on for music not age/sexuality ..." is so ugly, cynical, & Murdoch-esque. The interviewer is a garbage person for doing it or letting it happen and should honestly be ashamed. The embracing of unethical, anything to make an extra dollar philosophy is imo one of the reasons we're living in the current dystopia.

I think it is always better to stick to talking about your own music and influences instead of commenting on some other artists problems. The interviews will drag you in and someone will walk away and make it about something it was not. If you have Adam Lambert for an interview, talk about him. Let Madonna and GAGa and Taylor speak for themselves. They have huge platforms that he does not have so no need to waste his time on them. Freddie is fine because Adam is the new frontman. But he has nothing to do with the careers of these high profile women. I really get a little tired of him being asked about them in his interviews. It has been going on for years.
