May be he should start rapping .....and why not... he is already denying himself his voice by going into falsetto land... I'm on your team! I had a listen to some Prince songs since people were commenting comin in hot had a prince vibe and he did the Bee Gee's style falsetto on some songs, really not a fan at all of that style of singing personally but Prince was a major artist so it obviously doesn't put some people off. I must admit I'm puzzled by Adam's choice of using falsetto, I loved the soft vocals on Believe and Feel Something but almost none of it was falsetto so I really don't see why he felt the need to use it to get that softer breathy effect, he's capable of doing that just by controlling his voice and it sounds so much better to my ears.

skaschep.. why do you suppose CIH didn't make it on to larger playlists and more of them like NE did? Because it wasn't streamed enough. The streams in the first 2 days were too little to get it high on the New Music Friday lists (and in some countries it didn't make it on there at all) resulting in lower streams from the NMF lists. Fans really need to step up their game if we wan't a hit for Adam. Adam is asking us in several ways to view and stream, but somehow too much fans don't. 12k streams in one day is way too little. Adam released his last two songs on Wednesday for a reason. Feel Something didn't make it onto all the New Music Friday lists because Adam doesn't have a high enough profile to get on there automatically. When you release on Wednesday you have 2 days to build up streams and momentum to show Spotify that Adam's music is good enough to make it on there. This worked with New Eyes in a way as that song was put on most of the lists and also in some countries fairly high (Germany for instance on #7 which also resulted in that Sommerhits playlist after that). For Comin In Hot streams were way lower for the first two days and that resulted in less playlists and a lower spot on the playlists it got on. It's partly up to us fans to make sure we do those first streams. And I felt that as a whole we let Adam down this time. Spotify streams should be a multiple of YouTube views as YT only counts 4-10 views per day while you can stream on Spotify continuously. Yet Spotify is not even at 400k while the video is almost up to 2 million. Something is going wrong here. I have to blame myself a bit too. Was wayyyyy more excited about "New Eyes" and additionally I had a very busy time around CIH release time to tackle streaming and viewing right away, plus the "distraction" of GMA and Adam in NYC didn't help either. Geeez, did I find GMA's censoring of CIH annoying... it sure didn't help "sell" the song I honestly wasn't even quite ready for another song and I took too much time to build a solid CIH Spotify playlist and to really get going with streaming and viewing. Why am I saying this? I am blaming myself a bit but should I? May be, may be not. It really feels like a "job" at times, but I do believe that every single fan's dedication toward Adam's music counts at this important time of his new chapter. I will do better next time. Little feedback about CIH... it is my least favorite song of the three new releases and I can't really get into the mv either, however I played the video on July 4th to my young adult kids and their friends. Some have already heard the song before and they do like the sexy club vibe of the song. One guy who is not an Adam fan but knows him was like, "this is his best music video so far". skaschep, I subscribed to your Youtube channel a while ago and I am "back on the horse" viewing your "Adam singles".

Could some of it be because Taylor recommended people to listen to it as well, I know I saw quite a few comments on YT saying here from Taylor Swift and she also put it on her spotify playlist. I just don’t think Adam fans can exponentially make that much of difference in streams. His fan base is too small. He needs new fans. Hence why Taylor’s endorsement was so important. I agree. The current fanbase alone isn't enough to make a difference in streams, but it should help if we share what we are doing. And still, sometimes I send out a tweet to get people to stream and view and I get very few likes and RTs. It used to be different. It seems to me that some people really like the new sound but that others want the "old Adam" back, whatever that is. He has been doing this for 10 years!!! Additionally, I have a strong feeling that many couldn't get into the 70's vibe visually. That's the reality. I personally love FS and NE, in fact NE is my favorites single he has ever released.

Am I sensing that too many fans are disappointed as his new music is lacking his "voice"? Hardly anybody really says it. When I go on twitter it's almost dead silent there - hardly any indication that new music is out. What's going on?

But the thing that really captured me ten years ago was his voice. I fell in love with it completely. While Adam has the right to do whatever he wants artistically and personally, I don't hear that VOICE in his latest music. The sound does not capture my heart or soul. It is not something I want to listen to repeatedly. Just my opinion, my response. don't know about others.

I have a feeling that you are speaking for many others who are missing something, as they became fans because of the "voice". I too fell in love with it 10 years ago, in addition to the visuals that supported his gift so beautifully. However, while I do understand that Adam is craving change and constant evolvement as an artist, I realize (like many of us) that it is not to everybody's liking. Thanks for your honest opinion.
