The jaunt began in Vancouver on Wednesday night, and continues at the Tacoma Dome this evening (Friday).
Taking to Instagram after the show finished, May - returning to the stage with Roger Taylor and Adam Lambert - quipped that there were “only a few moments of panic” as they roared through their impressive setlist.

May wrote: “THANK YOU VANCOUVER !!! Wonderful welcome !! Wow !"
“We survived show number 1 !!!! And only a few moments of panic ! Ha ha !”
Sharing a video of himself in a cyborg-like mask, he later quipped: “Now the dust has settled, I’m happy that everyone in the arena last night in Vancouver thought he was me.
“He needs a little more work. His bends are a little under; evidently he couldn’t hear what he was doing very clearly. Audio feedback is essential in a live situation, even for robots!
“But soon he will be all perfectly programmed and I will be able to enjoy a quiet drink backstage while he plays the whole show. Bri.”
Taylor also posted about the opening night, saying: “What a crowd and what a start to our tour!"

The Rhapsody Tour continues around North America and Canada for the next few weeks, wrapping up in Charlotte on August 23.
It then resumes in Asia in January 2020, for six shows that take in South Korea and Japan.
New Zealand and Australia will then be visited in February, with no UK dates as of yet.

The UK has yet to have any shows announced, though May said earlier this year that he hopes to rectify that in the future.
“I’m hoping we will - [there’s been] no announcement,” he told BBC Radio 2.
“One more before we pop off, is my theory.”
Singer Lambert, meanwhile, is releasing his own new music: latest single Comin’ In Hot came out earlier this month.
