THANK YOU!! Acknowledge the legends. But Brian and Roger are killing it out there with Adam today and they deserve every bit of credit. I used to think that the "apology" speech was kind of necessary, but no more! Adam has earned his place. He proves it every night. And Brian's words say it all. I wonder if it's truly gone for good.

Popping in to say that we crammed a nostalgic visit to the Pacific Northwest, our old home, with the Vancouver and Tacoma concerts. I had already seen QAL five times, but this was even more of a wonderful sensory overload experience than ever. I will never say pinnacle with them because I have no doubt that they will continue to create and delight their ever-growing fan-base each go round for as long as they can. A couple of brief thoughts on some recently discussed items. Dr. Bri and his heart-felt, generous, and accurate response of Adam shows that they really are a family. And Sizzlin63’s points about how she wishes we could get some windows into Adam’s thoughts/life are ones I have been feeling for some time. Brian’s Instagrams could quite often be a “master-class” on effective use of social media and are in large part (at least I believe) of why he now has 1.8 million loyal followers, other than the to be expected trolls and gad-flies. He doesn’t get deep into his life with Anita or his children, though he mentions them as he wishes from time to time. He mentions himself and his professional, personal, etc...to the extent that he feels comfortable. What he does do that is super-effective is often use the salutation “folks” to open his posts...inclusive and informal. Then, he will move to whatever he wishes to discuss, explaining it concisely and in quite understandable terms. Finally, and quite importantly, if appropriate, he will ask the readers what they think. Now, they are even more part of an online community that he has built up. 99% of the time, he’ll close out with a simple Bri. Has anyone noticed that when he leaves that out, he will get many comments asking for/pointing out that Bri is missing and asking why? Bri is the leader of this large community but in an approachable fashion, almost like we are part of his family or pretty good friends. People can always use a connection. A couple of posts have gone a bit awry, but whose haven’t in this medium, and if he felt it was his wording, he has been quick to correct himself, but he is a rousing success on social media, and his supporters, me right up there, prove it. I don’t know what Adam used to be like as a social media, or at least Instagram presence. I admire beyond belief Adam, but I don’t like all of those little things, links I guess, to pictures that I have to open up and can barely see for which little or no commentary is provided. Maybe he could keep some of those because I may be about the only one who feels this way, so maybe that could still be his main thing if that is what he and others relate to most. But maybe every few days or so, he might post a little something like Brian does. It doesn’t have to be overly personal, but anyone who has heard him speak knows how articulate he is and that he does have his interests and, as he stated would be important in a partner, things he feels passionate about. They don’t even have to be very long, most of Brian’s really aren’t if you look at them. They don’t have to be that deep—a couple of Brian’s are him and his exercise bike. I guess I have just had this on my mind, and maybe not many other people feel like this. Just as a curiosity, has Adam written his customary “Thanks Vancouver!” after these shows and I have just missed that? A really nice thing to do, I think, and super-quick.... Again, I admire, adore, etc... Adam, so I mean no disrespect with what I have written above, and I don’t mean I would expect him to be just like Dr. Bri in his posts, but Dr. Bri is a ready example. That critic: well, his first article is an excellent example of “damning with faint praise”, and the second whatever it is he published—not an article, for sure—is a lazy way for him to garner, or attempt to garner—some marginal recovery, if you will. It screams, Look at me! I’m that one that made Brian May of QUEEN mad! And lots of his fans, too! Look: I’ll cut and paste a bunch of fan posts right here! And then nothing.... Nope, I won’t admire him either for saying he made Brian mad or for being ‘courageous’ enough to cut and paste negative responses to the writer’s article. Lazy journalism going on here. This is too long. Sorry! I just want to end ny saying that if the sight of Adam’s boots for the encore isn’t enough alone to get him an invitation to The Met Gala next year, then there is no justice indeed! Hi phronni7 ! This is a late response to your well articulated post that caught my eye on the first page yesterday but couldn't respond to right away, as I was out for a long day. You worded so accurately what I was only hinting at the previous day, careful to not "upset" anybody. Brian is a master when it comes to navigating social media and he connects and engages and goes beyond the surface level. He shows a very human side of himself by sharing his everyday experiences and openly reflecting on the world around him and sometimes on the statements he made previously. Still, he manages to protect this privacy. I as one of the "folks" that follow him feel appreciated and acknowledged. He connects. I am not expecting Adam to copy Brian, but as he has learned from Queen musically I do hope that he will also pick up a thing or two on how to engage with his fans more effectively. I would certainly be more delighted to read a few lines on how the desert inspired him versus looking at the result of him playing with a Face App. He is a grown man!! No, contrary to previous tours he has not thanked his many fans in the audiences yet, but I do get frequent reminders to keep streaming his new music. There I Said It. And I still keep streaming and following him on Spotify as I believe that there will be more gems on the album that need to be "heard". Hey, how was your "sensory overload experience" in the Pacific Northwest? Cool that you used the QAL opportunity to revisit your old home!!

Dear sizzling63 and phronni7 like to say my thought on Brian´s insta versus Adam´s insta: Brian is quite new to social media than Adam. He has lot of to show now as Adam had at the beginning of his cariere. I like to know what will happen in two years. Will Brian keep same interest? Brian gained more popularity on social media due to Bohemian Raphsody movie and its promo. He is happy to have that attention of many for now, but I am not sure it will last forever. Adam knows that, his popularity peak was on American Idol and it´s hard to repeat that. You just asking him for an entertainment for the existing fans because his music is not enough for you and that´s ok. Adam may think otherwize. There is not guarantee that social media followers will buy his songs because he will entertain them on social media by showing something from his life. A good hit song will do that for him.
According to thank you to the fans he actually does it in every concert!!! Have you listen to the steaming? He says it at the end of Bohemian Raphsody song: "Thank you and good night!"

But I trust that Brian has been in this business long enough to know how to connect with his fans and followers. IG may be as new to him as twitter was for Adam back then, however I like the fact that he shows his very human side behind the celebrity that he is. I personally can connect with an artist and any person so to speak if I feel genuine interaction. That's just me. "Feel Something" is a song that I absolutely love and connect with, in parts may be because it followed his open letter. "New Eyes" is probably my favorite single ever, I just love the sound and feel of it, and additionally I do get the song because Adam introduced it in connection to where he was at the moment in life. I am someone who has followed Adam since it all started and I would like to see more of him than streaming reminders and pictures of designer outfits. I miss a bit what I fell in love and connected with 10 years ago. You could tell me to leave if I am not a fan anymore. Well, I am definitely reflecting upon my fan status currently.

I personally can connect with an artist and any person so to speak if I feel genuine interaction. That's just me. (...) I feel similar. Adam’s IG has been rather boring for me lately. „Only“ business posts. I mean „only“, because there is nothing new for us hardcore fans. It’s ok for casual fans and people, who are checking him out. They find his new music. And the Designers, who are behind his QAL costumes. I would wish for some „Behind the Scenes“ views from the show’s. Brian isn’t new to social media. He has been posting online for many years. Brian loves anything technical and is upsurge Internet very much for interacting with fans. His IG isn‘t that new (newer than Adam‘s though). But Brian has his own internet website, where he has been writing his personal „soapbox“ for many years. He used to get fan questions („letters“) and often answered some of them - since 2011. To sizzling63: you do you. If you feel like Adam does not cut it for you anymore is totaly understainable to say goodbye. No one should feel force to do thing they do not like to do, not even Adam. I do not have inside knowledge why Adam does not like to interact with people on social media as before in Idol days. It can be trauma from the pressure to be on all the time or it could be thing he does not like to do.
To nightowl: for all this time Brian used social media as you said at brianmay.com he has not achieved so much followers. He is now peaking only because of the BR movie and the huge advertisment with this movie. I like to know how many dowloads/ stearms he has of his new instrumental - Horisont. Must be many because he has more followers on insta than Adam, right? The problem is I haven´t hear a bib about Brian´s personal work compare to his Queen´s work. At the end I do want Adam to be successful but I don't know how is to walk in Adams shoes.

I too want Adam to be successful, however he defines it. And true, we are not in his shoes. However, if he is still interested in reaching as many people as possible, he may want to reflect upon his fan engagement a bit. As nightowl mentioned, it is really boring to follow Adam on social media. These should be high flying times for him and I believe that he must have something to say or share besides the usual stuff.

As I said before I am not sure entertaining his fans will work for buying his songs.
I do not think you need to be fixated on Adam´s entertaiment. Expand your interest and enjoy Adam only for things he has to offer now. He has 3 songs out, he is touring with Queen, the Playmobil movie is commig.
