twitter.com/lolimorris/status/1163116125737107457Laura Morris @lolimorris @adamlambert saw you last night in Ft. Lauderdale. Knew you could sing but that was on a whole other level. Seen alot of shows in that arena, from the first 10 rows to the back 10 rows. Rarely has someone been able to command an audience with just their voice the way you did.

There was a conversation about a disappointed fan on yesterday's thread. I think the release may feel a little disjointed but without a major label release, I think that was to be expected. Some are disappointed that after waiting for the album it is in 2 EP's and no singles to radio. I wanted to purchase the physical CD because I always go thru several outlets just to support him. I have several CD players on various combination radios but I don't use them anymore. But I still have stacks of Adam CD's, lol. Streaming is the thing now but I don't see how Adam gets huge streaming numbers in the US without his music being heard everywhere. I hear some non fans gleefully claiming he has no hits so far because nothing has been on the radio or charted. But fans mostly understand that it won't chart on radio if there were never any plans for it to be there in the first place. But we are going to support his efforts no matter what. As for CD's being a thing of the past, well the major labels and many stars are still releasing them. And fans know other musicians are still releasing CD's so there is no point is saying they are a thing of the past. But many of the others also have the advantage of being played on radio and their labels getting them on the many streaming playlists so they are getting exposure on all fronts. I don't have many expectations now of what will happen so I'll just go with and support whatever Adam decides to do. I have no idea what the "big single" even means so not going to get overly excited until I see it going someplace. Adam has a plan and I hope it is working as he expected. He is a major talent who needs to be seen and heard by the masses, imo. And not just as the Queen frontman tho I am thankful for that recognition and exposure for him. It keeps me sane. HA! Adam added to his IG post "#velvet *PRE-ORDER/SAVE LINK IN BIO (both digital and physical options available) for those also looking for CDs. About the "big single", I'm guessing that future plans for the album, including touring, depends on how well the single does. A lot may be riding on this "big single" for Adam. And if the fans don't proactively (buying and streaming most importantly) help it go someplace, by helping get the streaming numbers up right from the start, we may never see it go someplace as you put it. If I understand correctly, an initial big push in streaming helps the single get on big playlists which is the key to great streaming numbers, and can determine whether the "big single" goes anywhere or not.. much like CIH which didn't get on many playlists, and accounts for the low streaming numbers. Skaschep please correct me if I'm wrong. http://instagr.am/p/B1LZI8rhMsI

His 2nd IG story says: Everglades Airboat Rides. Nice! I hope they actually went on an airboat, but the IG story looks like they're riding a car or bus on the road, not in the water.

Skaschep please correct me if I'm wrong. I do believe that putting the song out on Wednesday is purposely done to show the big playlists that it has potential. Adam doesn't have the profile to be added to those playlists on his own. With Feel Something (which was released on Friday) they found that out as it wasn't put on all the New Music Friday playlists (not in the Netherlands for instance). With New Eyes that worked pretty well. It had a nice initial boost and got added to almost all those NMF playlists and also on a nice position for some countries. In Germany that especially helped and New Eyes was sub sequentially placed on the Summer hits playlist in Germany. For Comin In Hot that worked not as well as streams weren't very great and thus the song wasn't placed on all the NMF playlists again and also not on a very good place on the once it got on. After the first week CIH was more or less dead on Spotify sadly. This isn't fully on fans though. New Eyes got shared by Taylor in those first two days which helped and CIH got less of a push from the team I think. But we can of course help! There is definitely room for improvement in this. Getting on those playlists is very important! What I also expect this time however is more influence from Empire. They got an article from the Grammy organization just a few days ago which has some interesting remarks about that. Here it is: Recording Academy / GRAMMYs @recordingacad "I'm a product of my environment. This company wouldn't exist if I wasn’t born and bred in the Bay; in S.F. and Silicon Valley. This company is as much a software company as it is a music company. - Ghazi Shami, @empire, Founder.https://www.grammy.com/grammys/news/how-empire-became-music-industry-giant-unlikely-city Some bits and pieces: Since its inception in 2010, EMPIRE has set itself apart from the pack by focusing on digital music platforms first, a stroke of foresight, but also timing, right around when majors still hadn’t accepted that physical sales were going by the wayside. The streaming music focus has rendered EMPIRE as not only a go-to player in hip-hop, but also an organization that facilitates accurate royalty payments to artists, songwriters, producers and labels from all ends of the spectrum. Plus, by staying independent, it affords Shami and EMPIRE unique flexibility to do business differently than a major label.
"I don't have a board of directors. I don't have shareholders," Shami says. "The Bay Area is a tech hub, but it was also the indie music mecca of the U.S. We didn’t crack the mold, we made the mold on independent music. When artists were getting 75 cents as a royalty for an album, there were artists out here like E-40 getting $9 an album on P&D deals."
... Bay Area R&B singer Rayana Jay, for example, has put out each of her last two releases in a joint venture with EMPIRE, a set-up Shami is keen on and has made it fairly standard in EMPIRE releases. Pull up the label metadata on a streaming service for an artist and you’ll often see both their name or self-owned label along with EMPIRE's. For Jay, there’s a specific element to the JV structure that appeals to her. "Honestly what I have with Empire is brilliant and something I don’t take for granted," she says. "I have ownership of my masters which is rare, and it’s truly a blessing."

I wasn't sure if they actually were on a boat. Thought it kinda strange there was a TV in the vehicle. Maybe Javi was looking out the window and saw some Everglades airboats ? They really haven't had time to do many non concert related activities.
