I think many Adam fans know that Adam has great music on his albums that showcase his extraordinary vocal skills. But what many of us have said is mostly fans know and get to hear that great music. The general public not so much unless he is covering someone else's songs. The songs that have gone to radio for him often do not include much of his great written or vocal work. And he has a lot of it. Some outlets even refer to him as a pop/dance artist as if that is all he is or is known for or all he can do? BS. Anyone can do that kind of music and sound just fine blending in with all the others. But everyone cannot sing like Adam Lambert with his vocal power and emotion. Some of us just keep hoping that the masses will get to hear some of his greatness outside of Queen. Adam can do rock. Pop/rock. Pop. Soul. Funk. He can do emotional and beautiful ballads better than most (some are rewarded handsomely for it with lots of radio play and awards). Bored with hearing that Adam's music is not radio friendly or good enough for radio play. Or that it is not music that Adam wants to do. Obviously he wants to do it because he wrote or recorded more diverse music and put the songs on his albums and sings them in his concerts. And who knows what is radio friendly if it is never put to the test? One or two voices don't speak for what all want to hear or for what could become a hit. ANYTHING is radio friendly that gets played a lot. Most can become hits if played non-stop. Even for Adam Lambert, lol.

Omg, how cute is Adam? Loved the shopping video...and of course, he zeroes in on the boots lol. And thanks from me, too, Toramenor...I watched the vids you posted and then promptly fell down the YT rabbit hole. I hadn't visited the Angel project vid for a while, one of my favorites. I've loved all his special appearances, his covers are often times better than the originals (don't tell anybody I said that lol). Great way to spend the morning, coffee and Adam, after being woken at 4 by hubby's alarm

Adam can create music that is easily as good as anyone else's big hit. It's about time he got that same chance at getting a hit. Like it or not, radio still makes a difference. It's not just streaming. I am a fan for life and will support him for the long term. I don't have to be crazy about every song. That's not the point. It's beyond comprehension that Adam is still an unknown entity to so many people. Love your whole post, lurleene.

There has been some discussion in the past few days about whether or not Adam Lambert solo music showcases his glorious vocal skills enough, or not. While, admittedly, I don't like ALL the songs he has put out, I definitely love most of them. Some for reasons different than just his vocal ability.
But here, I thought I would post some of my favourite VOCAL showcases of Adam's. I definitely think he has tracks of his own that showcase his singing ability, technique, and everything else that's wonderful about his voice. (I know there are perhaps other songs he has covered from other artists, including Queen, which showcase his voice, and there are other songs of his own as well that I like very much).
So, if you listen to my little playlist*, I hope you enjoy Adam's voice in them as much as I do. I often listen to these songs. *(I'm posting the lyric videos on purpose, because most of these songs don't have official music videos, and also because this isn't about the videos, just the voice.)
Time For Miracles Runnin' Whataya Want From Me Soaked Pick U Up Aftermath Cuckoo Ghost Town Things I Didn't Say The Light toramenor, thanks for your great selection of songs that show Adam's voice to its fullest glory. Nobody can say that his own music hasn't given us some great music that proves what an amazing vocalist he is. I think Pick U Up would grab anyone's attention if it was heard by a lot of people. And TOH should have been a single, IMO. Anyway, it's clear that he's got plenty of great stuff that ONLY HIS FANS HAVE HEARD. The tide has to turn somehow. Lord knows, the man has cred.
