The Spectrum Centre are tweeting a lot about @ queenwill rock. and no @ Adam Lambert. They also made a cake which says Queen and guess what...no Adam Lambert! Very irritating! Oh, I don't know. Maybe it means that the author considers Adam an integral part of Queen, and not a separate entity? He fits so well, is embraced so fully by Brian and Roger, that speaking of "Queen" these days by default includes Adam? If I think of it that way, my blood pressure goes down a bit.

I know an indie release is not the same as a major label release. But do we think the promotion is sufficient to get the word out so Adam's EP makes the Billboard 200? I know most indie Idol's don't make the list but I'm hoping Adam's management (whoever that is) is on this and he gets more US promotion. This is new territory for sure without him having a single on the radio but fingers are crossed that this new way works for him. I will buy and stream everything he puts out but he is going to need more than just fans on this. Also hoping for good international promotion and showings. And I hope fans are correct who think he will sing his new single with Queen on the Global event. But they have passed on some great opportunities before to promote Adam, imo, but I will be thrilled if they take advantage of this one. Letting Feel Something drop off the radar when it reached #5 on itunes and everyone was talking about him and excited about his solo return still seems strange. TSMGO documentary out but nothing being promoted for Adam at the time. It is all part of Adam's career so I hope they take advantage of some of these opportunities for cross promotion.

Just finished reading yesterday's thread, and wanted to say a BIG WELCOME to carmina and sandyk!! When you guys have a minute, we'd love to hear your "How I found Adam Lambert" stories! How did I find Adam Lambert? Long story…with two chapters: Ten years or so ago, I watched Evan Lysacek (who went on to win Olympic gold at Vancouver) freeskate to a song I’d never heard before. I never paid much attention to the background music for skating performances—but on that occasion I was so impressed by the vocalist that I googled the performance and came up with “Time for Miracles” by an artist called Adam Lambert. I listened to and really liked that song and others from that era (must have been from FYE), but then lost track of Adam… Over the past year, while I was off work due to illness, I started listening to music that I had not listened to for ages, and one of the bands that I rediscovered was Queen. And along the way I came across Adam again and finally connected the dots (“Don’t I know him from somewhere?…oh, of course, I remember now!”). Which took me down the rabbit hole of his solo career, all the way back to American Idol and beyond. I was amazed all over again by his voice, e.g. was stunned the first time I listened to “Soaked”—but this time also moved by the lyrics to various songs. I've also become a huge fan of QAL and of Adam as frontman (e.g. vivid memory of first time I heard WWTLF / Isle of Wight)—and it has been incredible to keep track of the QAL tour over the summer. It is great to meet you all! Thanks again for the warm welcome.

carmina Thank you for the story. You may be the first person who has claimed Evan Lysacek as the first point of contact! I love it

OMG, you guys, I was an Evan Lysacek uberfan back in the day! I first saw him live at the 2003 Junior Worlds totally by chance and then, not by accident anymore, at many events through 2010 including when he won the Worls title in LA in 2009 and the Vancouver Olympics a year later.
Worlds colliding!
But for the ide of me I can't remember Evan skating to "Time for Miracles"! Bust have been a show or exhibition as back in his day lyrics were not allowed in competitive programs.
I do remember that for years he used "Time to Say Goodbye" by Andrea Boccelli as an exhibition program for years.

I accidentally posted something at the end of yesterday’s thread meant for today’s thread, and for the life of me cannot get it moved to today, and then I can delete it from yesterday. The irony is that I have managed to copy other people’s qoutes, no problem, but not my own. I am a dinosaur. Can anyone help?
