Alright, I finally listened to the interview. Can't say it knocked my socks off, as for me there was a lot of the same old and nothing new except the leased car news haha, but I have listened to pretty much every interview and read almost every article out there. I hope the interview engaged the casual listener enough to spark interest in Adam and check his music out. I think they tried to build a connection by letting Adam talk about other musicians, his journey since Idol, as well as Queen and the gay stuff of course. Relevant topics I believe, but I just want the new music now haha. I have heard it all haha. I am wondering what else they could have talked about? Good thing that they mentioned the Global Citizen gig in NYC and allowed Adam to make a statement. The casual listener is not interested in hearing how every single song on the new album came about, so giving Adam a chance to get re-acquainted with the general public seems like a reasonable approach. The AMAs... still a significant chapter in Adam's career but I am glad that they were mentioned at the end once it was already established that Adam is a nice guy who has evolved into an accomplished musician and front man the past 10 years. They talked a lot about Queen and Freddie, but did they mention the Oscars at all? I may have missed it when I walked off for a couple minutes. The mention of those "intense Glamberts" irked my a bit, but Adam did not feed into it at all and good for him that he praised his fan base for their support. I actually had a little twitter convo with Nic Carter yesterday after I had noticed that he followed me. I warned him that I am a devoted Glambert and that my feed might a bit too much for him, so he should feel free to unfollow. He replied and thanked me for the heads-up but told me that he loves passionate fandoms I think it would have been nice if they had played at least part of "Superpower" and I think it was not necessary to get into details about Adam's stage antics during the AMAs 10 years ago. Other than that, I think it was a decent interview. I heard breaks with like one musical note and then the add on comments when he wasn't in studio so to me it sounded pre-recorded and the songs put in but left off the broadcast. As for the AMAs, that discussion while not meant badly I think would be a real turn off for anyone listening and thinking of giving his music a try. I thought the description of his "antics" was over exaggerated and he had no opportunity to respond like he usually does when the issue comes up. If I was not already a fan that last part is all I would have remembered and I would not have looked him up, yep a bit judgemental still but that would have been my first impression even at the end of an otherwise interesting interview. So anyway it's something they could have cut easily from the podcast, as it is, my words are shafted and sabotaged .I so agree with you. We are his fans and we love him. We understand what happened and the pressure and hits he was taking before the incident. It is easy for us to be over it and say it does not matter. A bit naive to think it may not matter to some new fans or people who tuned in for the interview. It felt like a misstep (after a pretty good interview) because it never came up in the interview. Would all of that have been said if he were sitting there? I think not. Even if they brought it up, it would not have been presented in that detailed way.

SpotifyData @spotifydailies .@adamlambert - Superpower 544,250 total streams (+54,707) #AdamLambert #Superpower #Glamberts I find it interesting how the Spotify numbers aren't matching the music video views (yet). I am not a numbers or stats person but was that similar with Ghost Town? I can imagine that streams will pick up after another promo round and once SP is on more playlists.

I on the other hand would love if he became political. Watched John Legend the other night as part of Lester Holt's prison reform town hall on CNN. I am with you. It feels like NOT being “political” or not clearly stating what one stands for is a “sell out”... Adam clearly has THE cause and he is active on it’s behalf, so it is hard to say he is not political at all... as HIS particular cause belongs (unfortunately) to one political side only... but I would love to see him expand his reach... would it cost him some fans? Would it cost him radio play in the US? ...complicated ... But I wish he had a project that wasn't gay, queer, gay. (Queen Global Citizen and ocean water plastic pollution doesn't count) Not that it's not important and yes people choose something that's close to them and/or their family but he needs something else to talk about. He's going to get the gay/queer role model questions no matter what.
