The article says maybe the performers didn't charge but did it for a nice vacation and for their friend? Yeah, I don't think so. but I am curious what it took to get Queen to perform. Money wouldn't do it. Brian and Roger have more than they can spend in their lifetimes already. Perhaps they would agree to the gig in order to get money for the other band members who aren't that flush? Or to help Adam? That doesn't seem likely, tho. If I was betting, I would say that there was some sort of agreement for a large donation to some charity that Brian is passionate about. What do y 'all think? I was thinking may be a charity of choice by each of the members, plus all the expenses...idk... The whole thing is nuts imo...but I do hope Adam got paid nicely also...he has his solo tour to finance (May be)

Q3 and Pi, thanks so much for finding/posting the list of links to SP video. Can really use this! What a genius compilation of articles that include SP!!! I think I clicked on most of them already when SP came out and gave the song a spin. Doing it all over again!!! (I picked up my daughter today for a hike, and which song was the second one she played while in the car? Yup!! She said she loves "Superpower" and she certainly didn't fake it, as she knew all the lyrics haha. Was FUN!!)

I trust STUB HUB, have bought and sold many a ticket on that site! That being said, I did buy 2 (by accident) for El Rey (I needed 1 for a friend) and they are download only, the email says they will be downloaded to my app (from "the seller") by 12/20 - which is the DAY BEFORE THE CONCERT. This is worrisome. While I believe Stubhub will surely refund me if there's a problem, I don't want my friend (or friends if I find another person to use the other) to not be able to get in at the last minute. I may call Stubhub just to reassure myself and see if there is anything I can do to get them in my app sooner. I am one of those people who was happy to make flight arrangements and get tickets to see Adam for these one offs (3 of them anyway, no NYC for me) - I have been waiting YEARS for Adam solo again. There is very little in the world that gives me as much pleasure as hearing Adam sing live, and if I can afford it and have the energy, I feel I should "do it while I can" - I work hard and have been thrifty all my life, and deserve this pleasure. When friends and family give me crap about going to so many Adam shows, I ask them how many football or baseball games they've been to, or how many times on this or that cruise or whatever. There is enough pain and sadness in the world, we should all do what makes us the most happy, there I said it! lol Here is my funny resale story. I booked a trip to New Orleans kind of at the last minute when QAL was there this summer. I had to buy a Stubhub ticket for too much money in not such a great seat but I did. The day of the show (in the afternoon) Ticketmaster released some much better seats for half of what I paid, so I bought one! Then I listed mine that I had purchased from Stubhub back on Stubhub. It had not sold by the time we left for the concert - we were walking from the hotel NEXT DOOR. My friends said I should try to scalp it outside, but I didn't feel comfortable with that. And it's a good thing I didn't, because after the show I discovered that my ticket had sold on stubhub 20 minutes before concert time LOL! And the money was in my account the next day - $170 - which is almost what I paid for the new ticket on TM. @ Didilynn, when my DH asked me the same thing-several years ago,our conversation went something like this....DH: You've been to a concert to hear Adam sing,Why do you want to go again? How many times do you have to hear Adam sing the same songs?." My answer: "How many times have you been to see the Phillies {baseball team} play? And {he plays violin in an orchestra} and- how many times do you play Mozart,Bach, etc in your orchestra each year?" He's never questioned my desire to see and hear Adam again!

People who love to do something, skiing, reading romance novels, watch their team play, golf, whatever.....don't want to stop with one time! Why would listening to your favorite singer, sing be any different.

didilynn , cassie , sizzling63 YES! And I love the point that didilynn brought up---there is enough sadness in the world to cast a shadow on our days---Sharing and celebrating something {and someone } who brings such LOVE and JOY into our lives can only be "a thing of beauty" as Keats,a British poet I always love to quote, once wrote.
