I get it. But why did they make my mouth water and put CTY in their twitter announcement about Adam's appearance? I was sort of hoping for two songs actually. Ah well, on to other things now. Because it's the 2nd sort of 'known' song at the album now with it being on the New Music Friday Playlists. When we bought TOH there was also a sticker on it "featuring Ghost Town, Another Lonely Night, There I Said It and Rumors". Even though Ghost Town was the single back then and also was the song he was performing on television everywhere. It's a way of advertising.

I hope Adam will still be doing what he loves when he is 72!!! I wonder if he feels the same as Cher at the start & end of a concert?

Adam needs a manager, IMO. Adam was a PRO for sure but ... I’m mad cuz someone - the show, his “team” (does he have one?) - let him down, didn’t make sure his mic was good, didn’t make sure his name was spelled right. Adam dressed in leather from head to toe emoting his heart out with NO SOUND looked ... just bad (“”first impressions”), know matter what we - who LOVE him - think. There’s no way being handed a new mic WHILE SINGING doesn’t get into his head and effect the performance. Of course, he was still really good - he’s a pro. But I watch that show all the time and I have never seen that happen before. (I want to make clear that I am not criticizing him. TV appearances are rare and, I think, among his best opportunities to shine. So, he should be supported.) There was a sound check and the mic was good then. Something went wrong between the sound check and performance. If someone had failed to flip on a switch, that would have been more quickly & easily fixed. More likely that the mic itself, or some other electronic thing, malfunctioned. No manager could have foreseen or fixed that. And I have to wonder if that mic is his or the show's. Adam often brings his own mic. We've seen him use for solo events what looks like the same mics he used for QAL, the special custom made white and red mics. And we know he needs a really good high end mic that will handle his voice, especially when singing a powerful belting song. SP is not really a power belting song, so a really high end mic might not be needed for it. Overall, I though the audio quality of the recorded performance was not that great. The sound seemed dull. I'm not talking about Adam's performance, but rather the sound system and recording are not up to studio quality. Even the audio quality during the conversation after the performance does not sound very good. It is lacking something, there is no richness in the voices.

BILLBOARD
Adam Lambert Proves He Can Sing Absolutely Anything With Rapid-Fire Beyoncé, Aerosmith & Rihanna Covers
It's a good time to be Adam Lambert. The 37-year old star just released his brand-new Velvet: Side A EP, his first solo project since 2015's The Original High, to rave reviews from critics. Now, the singer is celebrating by playing one of the Internet's favorite new games. On Wednesday (Oct. 2), Elle posted the latest edition of their "Song Association" video series, this time starring Lambert. The rules are simple: The singer is given a key word and has 10 seconds to think of and sing the word in a popular song. If he does, he gets a point, which are tallied up and compared to his fellow stars at the game's end. Starting off easy, Lambert takes the word "smile" and gives a lovely rendition of the Charlie Chaplin classic of the same name. After that, though, the star struggles. Presented with the words "hope" and "dear," Lambert fails to find songs that matched up. "Shoot, I am really bad at this shit," he says, laughing. "This game is hard!" nica, thanks for the numbers on Velvet and SP and CTY. They looks pretty good to me!
Anybody see the second segment of Adam's interview with Ryan and Kelly? They said they'd be back with more (hopefully Velvet talk) but the video just stopped after the first part. Just wondering.

Only the singing and the little banter after the performance. so again, talked about anything and everything BUT Velvet during the interview part... you saw everything there was to see... I had the same reaction as you did and had to scroll through my DVR recording twice to make sure I didn’t miss anything...

It was about time that Adam would get on it". He told me a few months ago that he was not an Adam fan, but may be that changed. When SP was released I sent out a link to friends and family and his reaction was quite positive. He told me that it was the perfect song to wake up to and get the day started. Thought to share this...

Murphy"s Law at work: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong". haha He even had to work his way around the new mic wiring. The iheart show would've been a nice tune-up, but it was still wonderful and he looked sensational. The next time he performs this song we will see a vast difference from Mr Perfection. The very first show of the QAL tour 2014 in Chicago had almost the same problem, and he was such a pro. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OTJ9Dr7Vyo.
