I have been irritated by Rami for a long while and I am glad that others have noticed that he has consistently not mentioned Adam. As far as I am aware he has only ever mentioned his name once - when he introduced them at Central Park in words that were no doubt suggested or scripted, I would have thought it a professional courtesy a) towards Adam who has been very effusive in his praise of Rami and b) towards Brian and Roger who have been very significant in Rami’s career. They have all been very generous of spirit towards Rami. And since I have sat near Rami at two or three QALs and watched him happily whoop and wave and generally draw attention to himself and his obvious enjoyment, I would have thought a nice word about Adam would come naturally. But Rami seems to be a friend and a big fan of Marc Martel and has spoken very highly of him....so that might explain a lot.

I’ve noticed the Rami thing, too. Rami is an actor, and actors are often notoriously insecure. He immersed himself in Freddie, and loves being in the Queen family and embraced by Brian and Roger. Adam has “replaced” Freddie, and is also embraced by Brian and Roger, who clearly adore him. Could Rami be feeling some sibling rivalry? Some insecurity that Brian and Roger love Adam more? Who knows. It could just be that Adam is stepping on his brand, and Rami’s management has asked him not to mention Adam. He obviously enjoys Adam onstage. The cutaways to him during the Global concert proved that. Who knows.

Regarding Rami - I was just watching Bohemian Rhapsody from that Billboard article and glorying again in Adam singing in front of 60,000 ecstatic people. He was sweaty and happy and conducting the audience like they were his personal orchestra, then Rami flashed on the screen and my actual thought was; "Poor Rami, you may have been Freddie Mercury in the film and won an Academy Award, but you will never experience the adoration that Adam is experiencing now. Your Live Aid was a construct but Global Citizen is real." I could really see that thought on Rami's face — ahhh, this is what it was actually like. Someone else who will never get to experience that — Marc Martel.

Momomany...please check your PM's.
When it comes to Rami or any other celebrity acknowledging Adam I could care less because Adam is a true rockstar and he doesn't need anyone's validation to prove what an artistic 'force' he is in music.JMHO Adam genuinely enjoys giving praise to fellow artists that he appreciates, doesn't feel threatened by their talent, and loves sharing their art with everyone. You don't find many like Adam in the industry. Adam is 'one of a kind' in so many ways.

Both Adam and Rami are rockstars in their respective fields. Neither needs validation, yet they both seek it in different ways. I was just trying to understand Rami’s behavior. Has nothing to do with either’s validity. Adam’s uniqueness is never in question for me.

But Rami seems to be a friend and a big fan of Marc Martel and has spoken very highly of him....so that might explain a lot. From one Freddie Mercury impersonator to another... Sorry, I know that's bitchy. I know Rami did a great job in BR, and I don't have anything against him...except that yeah, it almost seems like he goes out of his way to NOT mention Adam, despite how often Adam has complimented him. I find it hard to believe Rami has been unaware of that. How much would it cost him to be gracious in return, at least once in a while? Fortunately I'm assuming it will be less of an issue going forward, as Rami moves on with his career and has fewer occasions to discuss Queen.
