Edit add--- lol... was just remembering when on the Glam Nation Tour...Adam would throw a piece of paper on the floor with the words to a song that he was throwing in that night. One night it was a song --as a tribute to TJ Ratliff's birthday? Sandman? Adam did the Kiev concert without any prompters, and could have eased his stress if they had had them back then, Years later he casually said, they are now a part of the equipment...guess if needed, next song, words?? I think that is what he was meaning. He did "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. Unfortunately, that is one of the few covers that were just not better than the original. IMVHO. That's why I have not included it on my lists. youtu.be/neDIREuF6D8And he DID have a prompter in Kiev. The queenies on their hater forums were up in arms about it! Enter Sandman may not have been better than the original but being (as I assume) a more or less spontaneous performance it was still fantastic! I did not know about the prompter! But hey - if you only have like nine days of rehearsal for a two-hour concert of material that is not your own and was mostly written before your birth - those Queenies really should have cut him some slack...

I hope that Adam will be able to take a deep breath and regroup a bit before getting busy again next week. He had a few days off in Mallorca but after that it must have really hit him with a whirlwind of things. Pretty nuts actually how intensely within 10 days or so he devoted time toward each of his side by side projects. He promoted "Velvet" and he rehearsed and performed two gigs with Queen, and one of them pretty major, and all that while traveling two continents, dealing with jet lag, and getting up early to do interviews and promotions for each of his projects. Something's gotta give.
I will continue to do my part over the weekend with streaming, viewing, and sharing on Spotify, Youtube, Apple Music etc etc. While I am very temped to indulge in all the covers that Adam has excelled in so far, I am planning to focus on promoting his current work. "Velvet" deserves it.

First of all, whatever bug Adam has, I hope he gets over it fast. Promo counts.
I saw Billie Elish on SNL. I know she's a big deal. I watched her mumble and grumble into the mic and stumble around the stage. And she did that walk-up-the-wall thing that Fred Astaire did decades ago. I'm pretty open to new music, but when someone just stand there and mumbles, I don't know why they are so successful. But hey, more power to her.
Looking forward to James Corden and The Talk! Hope Adam is back on track ASAP! Who is still streaming? I am as much as humanly possible.

I think a performance is a good impression already. However, I have been very disappointed in live performances of artists whose records I like. One example is Billie Eilish. I love Bad Guy but I would not check out her music based on what I have seen in Late Night shows. Another good example for me is James Bay's "Hold Back The River." Love that song but his live performances did not stand up. Of course he got several Grammy nominations for it in rock so the live performances do not matter. Same with Frank Ocean. He won several Grammy's but his live performances at the Grammy's, SNL and some other award shows were awful, imo. Interesting, isn't it? Some records just seem to hit the sweet spot and after that no wrong can be done.

Ugghh Billie Eilishes overall appearance on SNL including that "mumble and grumble" was plain awful. I couldn't even finish it. I am looking forward to James Corden too. They have good chemistry. However, I watched him last night and noticed that he has a tendency to interrupt his guests a bit, plus I could not figure out who on earth that one female guest was. It must have been an obvious thing but it wasn't to me. I am still STREAMING like my life depends on it. I do have several Velvet/SP playlists as of now and I am giving SP more attention again now that Velvet is out.

Despite strolling down memory lane for a bit, I'm not forgetting to do my part in terms of streaming As for Billie Eilish - it's not only the live appearance. So far I just don't get the appeal of her releases at all... I'm looking forward to James Corden, as well. Loved it whenever Adam was on his show. Hopefully Adam will feel better by then.

I switched to streaming SP only on Spotify now but I added the album streaming on SoundCloud on my phone - another free option. And I do YT a few times a day... i happen to LOVE the album, even falsetto ...there are a few bars in different songs that I don’t like, those remind me of some songs from the bastard album, otherwise all is brilliant for my ears... still didn’t get my kids to check it out though, may be I am afraid of their “oh, it’s Ok” out of pity reaction...after all it ain’t rap (my son) and ain’t techno (the rest)
