Another good example for me is James Bay's "Hold Back The River." Love that song but his live performances did not stand up. Of course he got several Grammy nominations for it in rock so the live performances do not matter. Same with Frank Ocean. He won several Grammy's but his live performances at the Grammy's, SNL and some other award shows were awful, imo. Interesting, isn't it? Some records just seem to hit the sweet spot and after that no wrong can be done. And I think it helps when their labels don't allow them to get lost in the pop world even tho they still get radio play on those charts. But they get them entered in genres where they are not dominated by the the Mendes and Camilla's and Ariana's and Ed's and Taylor's of the world.

He did "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. Unfortunately, that is one of the few covers that were just not better than the original. IMVHO. That's why I have not included it on my lists. youtu.be/neDIREuF6D8And he DID have a prompter in Kiev. The queenies on their hater forums were up in arms about it! Enter Sandman may not have been better than the original but being (as I assume) a more or less spontaneous performance it was still fantastic! I did not know about the prompter! But hey - if you only have like nine days of rehearsal for a two-hour concert of material that is not your own and was mostly written before your birth - those Queenies really should have cut him some slack... I stand corrected - I had not listened to the Enter Sandman performance in years, but I just did, and it is much better than I remembered it I WILL include it on my list! (EDIT: Done!)

Would Adam be the one to take care of these kind of details now that he's independent?

Would Adam be the one to take care of these kind of details now that he's independent? I was thinking label and management but you could be so right, lol. I hope it doesn't hurt radio interest for SP.

Despite strolling down memory lane for a bit, I'm not forgetting to do my part in terms of streaming
As for Billie Eilish - it's not only the live appearance. So far I just don't get the appeal of her releases at all... I'm looking forward to James Corden, as well. Loved it whenever Adam was on his show. Hopefully Adam will feel better by then. Going down memory lane is a dangerous road for me ... I tend to get very distracted haha. Btw. my earlier comment was not meant to criticize those who are enjoying that stuff right now. So do I! And it's never just one video when (for example) YT offers so many suggestions of things I haven't seen yet or love to watch again... One of the reasons why I never get enough sleep... So I guess you were completely right to remind us to focus on what is important right now

So what’s everyone fav from Velvet so far? Mines Stranger you are. Just so different. The hook gets stuck in my head. I wouldn’t mind it as a radio single.
