Responding to happy's message from yesterday.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all Canadians here. Indeed, much to be thankful for - including AFL and Atop!

It's going to be quiet around here isn't it until Adam shows us a photo with a dated newspaper like MeggyMeg said. I'm generally a patient person and not easily excitable, but I do have a vivid imagination and at this point it's going to take photographic or oral evidence to alleviate my concerns.

Thanks for those who gave me some insight on how the rappers are putting up such great streaming numbers. But many kids are still listening to radio. There was an article that I posted a few weeks ago that said just that. Camilla, Shawn, Ariana, Jonas, Maroon 5, Billie, Post Malone, Taylor, etc. are having huge radio hits, and filling arenas, partly because their music is heard non-stop on the radio. Unless we think they are getting those big radio hits because radio is trying to appeal to older people, which I doubt is the case, lol. So having young family members who no longer listen to radio obviously would not apply to all the younger people. And I'm sure the radio exposure and tv appearances would also help them with their streaming numbers. But clearly some of the rappers are getting noticed by young fans without radio so that is good for them.
Disclaimer: I'm not talking about or comparing Adam. HA!

I feel and share your concerns. When he cancelled Iheart at the last minute, someone said he looked pale or sick. But then he came on Kelly and Ryan and looked great. Very upbeat. But everything after that was cancelled in the middle of promo week. I don't need to know his personal business but I would like to know that he is okay. I'm trying to stay positive but I guess it is human nature to want assurance that he is well.

Im going back to LA on Saturday and since I work in WeHo, hope I bump into Adam at Whole Foods or something because at this point I'm also getting worried. Random disappearances in the midst of what's supposed to be a promo stretch are very atypical in the entertainment industry.

I share the concerns. As has been said before Adam is a pro, He doesnt cancel lighthearted and he's seldom sick in general.
I've heard a interesting connection between the length of a song and streeming. It was hinted at in a Interview Niall Horan (from one direction) Said. That the shorter the song/s the more steams you get. Logical but have never thought about that connection.
Lastly Shosh answered my tweet! Adam will be in Munic next week. I just need to find out which day!

Thanks! Very interesting. I don't know why people have the idea that radio is no longer important. If you can reach an audience with big streaming numbers, like some rappers, that is great. But I don't think it is that easy for everyone. If not, radio is still needed for most. Here is the article I posted before. hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=318081NEAR TRUTHS: BROADCAST NEWS STAY TUNED FOR AN IMPORTANT BROADCAST: There’s a growing perception in the business that “traditional media,” aka radio and TV, aren’t moving the needle when it comes to selling music. That’s a misperception. The reality is this: The super-active 14-20 demographic that’s leaning on the button and creating huge streaming numbers is only one part—though a large one—of music consumption at present. We mustn’t leave the rest of the pie out of the equation.Because of this disparity between audiences, radio isn’t breaking all these hits first, especially hip-hop records that explode on the streaming charts or songs that blow up from TV exposure. But it’s undeniably true that wherever they break first, radio makes all these records bigger: bigger sales, bigger streams, bigger ticket sales.Pop radio plays stars, and while your act may have a billion streams, if he/she isn’t a familiar face, the road to the top may be a slow and bumpy one. This is especially true in the present moment, as the Pop chart is not only dominated by superstars, but many of these have multiple tracks on the chart. Analyzing the last week of Pop radio airplay reveals that eight acts—Shawn, Khalid, Post, Ed, Camila, Ariana, JoBros and Sam—make up 64% of all spins in the Top 50.
