Thinking back to the cancelled TV spots- could it be that ABC wanted an “exclusive” and Adam just couldn’t perform on other networks?
may be some deal including AI for side B?

I was watching the CTY video and, while keeping my eye on Adam, was looking around at the surroundings. It was obviously a small studio or large recording booth and I was thinking how amazing it must be for a vocalist to sing in a situation like that. You can hear all the instruments but not so loud that it risks hearing damage and meld your voice perfectly with them, like hitting the harmonies perfectly in a choir. The voice reverberates in a way that you can feel in your whole body and you can sing full out. If you are incredibly talented like Adam, it must be ecstasy.
Beats the hell out of my shower.

twitter.com/outmagazine/status/1184557120882122754Out Magazine @outmagazine I need the footage of @adamlambert getting his life to @cher in his first car during high school. www.out.com/music/2019/10/16/adam-lambert-says-cher-one-his-personal-heroes?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=music … Adam Lambert Says Cher Is One of His Personal Heroes Fresh off releasing some of his best work to date, the six-song EP Velvet: Side A, Adam Lambert is in full on press mode. It’s giving us a chance to learn some great factoids about our favorite glam rocker for our next gay trivia night. In an interview with the LGBTQ+ news site PrideSource, interviewer Chris Azzopardi asked Lambert what it was like singing the iconic late-90s hit “Believe” during a tribute to Cher at last year’s Kennedy Center Honors. The singer immediately started gushing, calling her “one of [his] heroes.” “I really had an amazing time doing that,” Lambert said. “[...] Obviously she’s an icon. She’s had, like, moments in every decade that she’s been around; it's so undeniable, and to sing for her, what a treat. And it was such an honor.” But Lambert said getting to honor Cher by singing one of her most beloved songs was personal for him. The 37-year-old singer told Azzopardi that he bought Believe, her 1998 album of the same name, when he was “still in high school,” after purchasing his very first car during his senior year. “That CD had just come out and I remember listening to it really loudly on the freeway and listening to ‘Believe,’” he said. “So when I got up on stage to do that, that memory came flooding back to me.” We love to see dreams come true! Unfortunately, the two didn’t get to talk after the performance, as Cher’s Broadway show was opening the next day. Still, she sent Lambert a “very sweet” message via email. Lambert says that he couldn’t see Cher crying during the performance because she was too far from the stage, but when he saw the footage later, the singer realized how amazing the moment was. “Wow, that’s pretty special,” he said. Yes, it is!

I swear there was a tweet or instagram posted in the last 2 weeks that showed the studio. It didn't show Adam, just two band members or their instraments in the foreground, but it did tag him in the description. I think posted by a band member. Gelly of course says she thinks it was before his worldwind trips and done back during the 1st week of September but what if it was done more recently to cover live versions since he was sick during the ones that would have been taped in New York.
