Says in quiet voice: When I heard "different way" my first thought was touring with another artist. Well, that was the last thing that came to my mind. I don't think he will do that, but it is a money-saving thing. I just can't see him touring with another act. I sure hope the "different" is something else. Well Adam usually tours with a warm up act or 2 that performs for 30-40 min. Then he performs for about 90 minutes. I don't mind if Adam tours with a co-headliner as long as he still performs for 90 minutes and not less.

I really think 90 mins should be about the very minimum a solo artist does when the audience invests so much in a variety of ways. I remember the two GNT shows I saw were about 55 mins each and I was a little stunned when the end came so soon.....(especially in London where we stood for hours before the opening act and then for well over an hour between the opening act and Adam coming on....and in a blink it was over. Perhaps the old adage of leaving them wanting more.... But then TOH in Manchester - wow...great show. He was so happy, small venue and the audience was so wildly responsive that he genuinely seemed not to want to leave the stage. He played right through a loud alarm that the club was required to sound to stop shows at a certain time (11pm I think). Adam told them in no uncertain terms that he wasn’t going to stop! He definitely feeds off the energy in the room which is why the smaller shows are so memorable....imho. I have no idea how he will adapt his solo show to the Wembley Arena for example....but we’ll see (and love it!)

He has played solo arenas on tour before so that would not be a problem for him. 2 in South Africa. Several times in Finland. And I think it was 9K his first solo in Poland. 10K Summersonic in Japan A smaller arena in China around 7K. And he just played to that huge crowd in Pittsburgh for more people than Wembley. All concerts were great.

I actually don't remember anyone ever making that point before. It sounds fundamentally true. 👍
Jennifer, since I had never considered that before I decided to research Queen playing the song live (thank you wiki). We know Mercury never had the chance to sing it live, he died soon after the studio recording. They performed the song at the 1992 Tribute concert and again in 1997. It was also included in QPL tour concerts. The other live recording was with Paul Rodgers at the 2006 VH1 Rock Honors, of which there were only three. I had sort of a fond giggle because the QPL set was TSMGO, UP, WWRY, and WATC and we know that Queen likes constancy and so that little Under Pressure rif at the EMAs made it almost the same set. They are so meta that you can't tell me that it wasn't on purpose. So yes, I think they hoped the set would be amazing and that Adam would continue with them. And yes, Paul Rodgers was a different kind of rock singer and comparisons should be tempered with reason. However, Paul simply does not do the music justice. The instrumentals are soaring, the lyrics are telling a tragic tale, and the vocal brings it down. For completeness, here is that 2006 performance, but don't feel like you have to watch it. I know who I like better ht tps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOshR7YEucc Going back to listen to Adam again now... What was the QPL tour? Oops typo, I meant QPR, as in Paul Rodgers.

Filling Wembley might be a little easier as they don’t seem to be offering for sale the blocks (six or seven blocks) at the far end opposite the stage...I maybe wrong but it doesn’t seem that they are. (I saw his first arena show in Finland (2013), Huge arena, filled to the brim....but he chose not to pay for the jumbo screens so there was a huge outcry and upset from those who could see nothing of him).

Thanks! That is good to know. They can always open up other areas if they need to. And I see your point about the jumbo screes.
