I don't think that your reaction to the AMAs segment is irrational. It happened and to me it sticks out during the rather flattering documentary as a dark chapter in Adam's career, regardless what everybody's take on it is now. It stings every time I get reminded, as the fallout here in the US was heartbreaking. Thankfully, Adam recovered. Edit: That type of perseverance probably made him the frontman for Queen that he is now. In addition to his god given talent and charisma, it was his strong work ethic, a dedication toward Freddie's legacy, and his grit to defy the naysayers that has lifted Queen to new heights. The Netflix version apparently didn't have the quote from the ABC News guy saying the Adam's behavior at the AMA was 'right out of Freddy Mercury's Playbook". Hm..... I wonder why that got cut? I noticed that. I think they had to trim a couple things to make room for the Japan stuff. If I recall when they mentioned the NY Times guy they showed them doing harmony backstage but didn't mention that they actually sent him the tape. This is why I previously said I didn't think this version was better than the US version- I've seen both. It's just a little different. While I'm at it- when I went to see QAL in Detroit last July there were people sitting around us who were not sure about Adam. When they saw the special on ABC a couple months before that they were sold, got tickets and loved it! Love to see that still happening!

It’s the UK version. For all I know a lot of the American stuff (including the AMAs) was shortened. Instead they have a part about the shows in Japan. I‘m glad this sentence is gone, because in my opinion it isn’t true.

I would have preferred if they had cut the part that said Adam's #1 album was because of Freddie. That was Adam's accomplishment in his home county and one that did not fully support an out artist. It was before he joined Queen. And Freddie was not out nor all that popular in the US during his time. You could have given the credit to Elton or George Michael or anyone and it would have made no sense either. It wasn't true.
