Melisende The amount you posted is more accurate based. ๐ Wow! Some impressive bidding with over 5000.00 for some items! All for great causes within the organization. I wonder which "costumes/outfits" Adam loves enough to actually save as a keepsake? The Oscar jacket befittingly is housed so that the memory of the Oscar's, and his QAL performance will be refreshed in the memories of those who tour the facility. Or it is an ahha moment for those who did not view the Oscar's that night--that he was a highlighted "star" opening the 2019 Oscars. His Beth /Kiss outfit is another that is displayed in San Diego. Any others anywhere? Whenever I see the black tunic with white designs (The Divas show ) I think of momtomany. She bought the same tunic, but had to have lost it when she lost her home in the fire. l wondered if she would bid on it when it showed in this auction. Mind you, with a new home just built ...expenses might lead to other priorities. (For a bit๐)

It is great reading these tweets - and to see how much money Adamโs jackets, etc. have raised. And that beautiful young girlโs make-up inspired by Adam! Itโs definitely glitter-y here today:)

I just watched TSMGO again. I've seen it multiple times, but this time I tried to imagine seeing it as someone with no particular affinity for Adam (not a hater, just someone who for whatever reason isn't all that interested in or familiar with him) - and even if he or she is so tone-deaf that his singing doesn't seal the deal, I just can't picture anyone watching his interview segments and not finding him extremely likeable as a person. There's no question that his talent has been the main source of the opportunities he's gotten over the years, but I don't think the importance of his personality and professionalism can be overstated. Look at Nile Rodgers - someone who has worked with, and continues to work with, legends in the music industry and has reached out to Adam multiple times or responded enthusiastically when Adam has reached out to him. Look at Rickey Minor, who has probably not so coincidentally been involved with several projects Adam has been a part of over the years (VH1 Divas, that ABC show for which Adam sang "Faith", Kennedy Center Honors just to name a few). Hell, look at Brian May and Roger Taylor, who wouldn't have wanted to tour with Adam even with that incredible voice of his if he'd been a jerk. I remember when Adam was a mentor on that program "Majors and Minors" with the kids, and he discussed how opportunities come from making and maintaining connections - he's the living proof, and the fact that people clearly like working with him, and just plain like him, has been hugely beneficial.
There are quite a few performers out there who could stand to pay attention to the example Adam has set throughout his career.

I just watched the first 12 minutes of TSMGO again, and the first glimpse of Adam is at the Oscars. He looks stunning as he powers out WWRY. I think the average viewer would think, "Oh! This guy can sing. Wow!" The narrative segues to Brian is talking about not looking for a singer but coming across Adam who appears and can do everything. Joe Jonas talking about Queen having to continue performing to honor Freddie's memory. VEry smart writing. It sets up how finding Adam, who didn't audition or campaign for the job, enabled Queen to continue. Then we see the person behind the onstage persona. Adam is gorgeous, and is talking about his trepidation about taking on the responsibility of filling in for Freddie, acknowledging from the start that he is NOT Freddie, doesn't pretend he is equal or equivalent to Freddie. It is nothing short of charming in its humility and genuineness. It's a bloody brilliant script setting up the viewer to be along for the ride with this talented, beautiful, nice guy who os embraced by Brian and Roger.
