In an excess of enthusiasm, I bought tickets to both performances, but don't know if I'll be able to watch the first one or not - it's 3pm my time on a workday. I work from home, so I should be okay as long as no meetings or time-sensitive urgent projects pop up to interfere. I would have loved to snag a M&G, but even 8am in the morning here was too late. But I'm pleased for Adam! I'm sure he'll get an excellent response for these concerts. I love that he's doing the shows from The Roxy, and not just his living room. Just as a bit of history, The Roxy was the home of the first US performances of The Rocky Horror Show - the musical theatre production, not the movie - so a sort-of-sideways Adam connection there.
Regarding yesterday's discussion about his makeup for the Bowie performance...personally, it wasn't my thing. I didn't really like the green lipstick, and as a general rule I don't care for heavy makeup with the facial hair. Just not my thing. But the look was apropos for the performance, and it got him a lot of attention. I don't think it was coincidental that his photo was featured so often in press about the event. So regardless of my personal preferences, IMO it was a win.

I think his look for the Bowie show fit the occasion. I know it was over-the-top and generally I can do without green lipstick. But he was doing a homage to the androgyny of Bowie, it worked for me this time.
Gonna get a ticket for the show! I just got a new laptop after my ancient one finally died. I am so relieved that all my passwords and stuff are working on this one! Whew!

Definitely getting a ticket for this event, possibly 2 lol. This will be my first Adam only concert. I've only seen him twice, once with the AI tour, and once with Queen in the early days. I really hate crowded places, so this will be right up my alley.
Really excited that he's doing this. And on his birthday! What an amazing surprise this morning.

I've been the Roxy... it's a REALLY small facility. I wonder how many people will be in the audience?

I've been the Roxy... it's a REALLY small facility. I wonder how many people will be in the audience? Maybe nobody? Or maybe just a few specially invited guests. That was my assumption. One more Adam connection to that theater - The Roxy is where the mentoring sessions with Slash took place for Rock Week during American Idol season 8.

I just assumed the entire audience was remote. I figured he rented the Roxy because it gave him more room for the band, and a stage.

I've been the Roxy... it's a REALLY small facility. I wonder how many people will be in the audience? None? Or maybe he’s inviting a few family members or friends. when the covid situation in LA allows that. But for a real concert he needs a stage. Even if it’s streamed online. Without audiences, a really small facility makes sense.

It's really, really horrible down there. The virus is everywhere.
