Well, this is weird! After 2 1/2 years, the AMAs just uploaded Adam's performance to their VEVO channel!
I don't think Adam's voice has ever been so off key before in his life. If he had sounded better, this might have been a great performance. He has matured so much over the last two years. I would like to see him do this again sounding like he does now.
Hi everyone! I was at the Chicago show and got back home on Tuesday. I've been trying to catch up on all the news every since. It was so much fun seeing Adam live again and seeing all of the kids loving him. I also loved talking to other Glamberts and seeing us with our Trevor Project necklaces and key necklaces.
I have a fun story about when we checked into our hotel. The young gal checking us in asked what brought us to Chicago and I answered, "Adam Lambert." I completely took her by surprise and she giggled and said, "He has the best hair!" I agreed and asked if she had seen him live. She hadn't, so I told her what a mesmerizing performer he is and that she needed to see him. She giggled some more and told me that he has beautiful eyes. The rest of the time she checked us in she kept giggling. She never expected me to talk about Adam! I didn't see her again. If I had, I would have told her about the concert.

But not one single news report said anything about the vocal. Why? Because it was bad for Adam. But compared to everyone else that night (except Kelly) it was great! I watched this hours after it was on and after I read several boards. I was scared to turn my DVR on, and when I did my first thought was, "That's not that bad!" Not up to par, for Adam, but not as bad as the on line freak out made it, IMO. And I had to rewind the ninja roll over and over to figure out if it was a fall or choreographed!

Haven't wanted to watch repeats of this performance...but I had to see how this was edited. Maybe mellowing in my old age...but just glad they edited out the finger at the end! HAHA
I was only referring to the secondary press he's getting from all Adam's press. Hopefully Clay won't respond ... he's already dissed Adam too much in the last month or so.

I know everyone is concentrating on tonight's PA show, but since there is no thread for tomorrow night...I wondered if anyone on Adamtopia is going to Six Flags New England, Sat night, May 26th?
Probably not the best place to enjoy Adam and the band...a big amusement Park, very hot, 87 tomorrow, everybody stands in the grove...maybe trees in the way. I don't think they have a screen.
The good thing...many potential new fans ;D
JUst bought my yellow top. I am taking an Adam fan friend, my granddaughter (14) and her friend. We'll see how we do. Hope to hear that their might be others attending.

A performance like this can happen to anyone, Carrie sounded bad on AI and on some recent CM awards show. I've heard Kelly sound really bad in the past on AI and in some other performances. Like Adam, it is unusual for them- but it happens from time to time.
The AMAs that year were really strange, as most of the acts and artists didn't sound very good at all. The country folks (Lady A and Zac Brown Band) and Kelly were good that night and Gaga's acoustic part was pretty good.
As a whole, awards show performances seem to be getting better- even for those that don't lip sync. lol

But before anyone thinks Adam's getting way too catty, remember that Clay doesn't have many nice things to say about Adam either. However, he volunteered plenty of not-so-nice opinions about Adam back in 2009, in a personal blog on his website. Shortly after Adam's "Idol" run, Clay wrote that Adam's performance of "Ring Of Fire" made his "ears bleed" and was "contrived, awful, and slightly frightening!" (Talk about some Clayhate!) Soon after, when asked about by "Access Hollywood" about Clay's surprising remarks, Adam smilingly shrugged and answered with a flippant: "I don't know Clay. I'm glad he's getting headlines now, though, because he wasn't before. If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him." (Oh, snap!) Around that time, it was reported in the Chicago Sun-Times that Clay actually had wanted to record a duet with Adam, and that he had turned up unannounced at the "Idol" set and was turned away by the show's crew. Many fans suspected that was the reason for Clay's bitter comments, but the point is, whatever the reason, you can't blame Adam for having nothing nice to say about Clay now. Sorry, but I'm Team Adam on this one! I thought all this Aiken/Lambert stuff was old news, but Andy Cohen just had to go there, so now Adam's Bravo segment this week has fans all fired up again. And I can't help but be a little amused. Clay has yet to fire back, as of this writing, but he's become increasingly feisty on his Twitter as of late, so this could get good. Pass the popcorn, please.

Speaking of Sauli, my dad's family is 100% Finnish so I love all of the Finnish fans on Adamtopia and appreciate all of the translating you do. I only know a few words. My grandma had a sauna in her basement and my aunt and uncle had one in a separate building on their farm. The lived in South Dakota with a lot of Finnish people in the area. I always heard my grandma speaking Finnish with my oldest aunt when we visited them. My dad was number 7 of 10 kids. It brings back so many memories seeing and hearing Finnish now.

I said that to the guy who emailed me. I said I would love the summer edition but if i don't get my spring edition, I'm not buying the summer one. That's when he said it will be there within 2 weeks we promise!!! Mmmhhhmmmm! We shall see!

Q3: They are working on the Member Search function -- if you are looking for someone use the page numbers to move thru to the person you want. That is working, database look-up is not working.
