Just noticed on their playlist for today that they've only played NCOE once at 3 in the morning. I called at 1:30 today to request.. she said, "okay", but it hasn't been played yet. It seems they are decreasing spins already. :(
Need some advice on requesting. There are NO radio stations in Southeast Florida spinning or adding. There are other stations in Florida that have done both. How far afield can I legitimately go? I would certainly love to request in areas where it has been added. Do I just stay with Q102, Sirius and the other "request from anywhere" stations? Do I start to call, tweet or email my three local stations in addition to the requests? Are my daily requests too much since they have not been spinning either BTIKM or NCOE?
Would love to constructively channel the frustration.
However, I am in the camp of expecting changes from July 7th forward. If "our change ain't gonna come", I will figure out how to deal with it then.
3. What about best festival performance? Can we write something in for that?
4. Best style ( write in)
5. What about best televised performance? Adam on Jimmy Kimmel, maybe?
6. And for the most anticipated event, do we all agree the title is Adam and Queen Tour?
7. Or should we all just focus on Trespassing as the best album category, because it's definitely the most important thing?

The votes don't get divided, like on the OMAs so I say vote for which ever you want, but definitely for best #1 album! Trespassing deserves that!

You know what, before Adam and in my younger days, when I requested a song, I had NO idea if that station had "added" it. I didn't even know what adds were until 2 years ago! So, I say, if you are a regular listener to a station, request away!

Generally, do not request from a Florida station you cannot get on your car radio. If you live in Broward County, you can't get Orlando radio. Do not waste the time.
And out of market requests may hurt.
There is no Top 40 or HAC station in SE Florida that will play NCOE without adding it to their playlist. And WHYI-FM Top 40 Miami is not a likely add.
Save your effort for national voting and polls. Q102 needs a kick so vote there.

Generally, right now we need new people to request. The song needs to do its job in the places where it is being played.
Regarding stations playing NCOE -- 65 stations have added it, and 61 played it last week. That is not bad.
These are the 3 stations that added, played it but did not play it last week. A spin here really matters:

But Q3, my question is, will RCA want to give up the time that a headlining tour requires? If Trespassing were to fall out of the BB200 (IF) would RCA want to give up another 6 months of time for Adam to tour to, primarily, his existing fanbase? If a tour didn't start until Spring 2013, then that puts Adam out of the mainstream spotlight/public eye for a LONG time, again. I wonder if RCA would rather start some kind of new project by 2013---whether it is a another album or something else.
I just wonder, in the end, if we will see a full-blown tour. I think he needed Trespassing to be more visible in order for this to make sense. Maybe, he will do a limited series of one-off concerts instead.
I can't help but think this fall, when TV schedules resume, Adam will be all over the place on TV promoting Trespassing. Having just finished the Queen gigs won't hurt. It's clear Adam is ready to do whatever it takes, and whether or not radio cooperates he and RCA will not stop promoting Trespassing. It's too good. And I see RCA pushing hard for multiple Grammy nominations as well.
As fans, we can request, request, request, do the word of mouth thing and - if we're lucky enough - attend a concert. As with everything else in life (job, kids, etc.) there is no point in my angsting over something I have no control over. So I will enjoy this wonderful music, this wonderful person and do what I can to spread the word.

Adam Lambert. American Idol's veteran Goth-rock runner-up put on a real show-stopping performance in Finland when he and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen got hauled off for brawling outside of a bar in Finland. And here we thought it was just his music that was angsty and melodramatic!
Tutka Roadshow Finland is starting tomorrow and Zinnia and I plan on translating them the same way as we have translated the Video-Tutkas. We will create a new thread in Sauli Central for these translations, and post a link in the news thread to the translation, just like before.
There will be two Tutkas every week for the next six weeks, Katri told us that usually they will be published on Wednesdays and Fridays. This week will be an exception because of the Midsummer here in Finland, so we have Tutkas coming tomorrow and on Thursday. All this means quite a lot of work but we will try our best to get the translations out as soon as possible. Of course, RL can sometimes bother this very important task, and by the way, there are these certain events in some place called London... I don't know if you've heard of them, but we're going there so that might cause some delays as well. But please just wait patiently, the translations are coming... ;D

Q3: They are working on the Member Search function -- if you are looking for someone use the page numbers to move thru to the person you want. That is working, database look-up is not working.
