My kids now aged 37 to 42 loved Fraggle Rock. I imagine Adam also watched the show.

I must say I am becoming a bit annoyed. Every store I have gone into in the past about 2 weeks is playing Please Come Home for Christmas. I have heard a minimum of 6 different artists sing this song. None of them are Adam. Is it because it is Spotify only? I would love to hear his version in a store. Yes, I think it's because it was only released to Spotify to gather royalties through that platform. Any commercial enterprise - including stores, restaurant, bars, or even a condominium clubhouse - can't play music on a sound system without a license from ASCAP, BMI, or a third service which doesn't come to mind. I think Sirius may have a commercial license available for those types of entities. One just can't create a "mixtape" to play. There's an obligation to pay royalties, no matter how small, which is collected through the license agreement.

I thought that the service would be based on the Anglican Service of Lessons and Carols which has been around since 1918, as first celebrated in the King's College chapel at Cambridge University, and is pretty much a staple in Anglican and Episcopalian churches in the final week leading up to Christmas. It's a series of lessons from the Old and New Testaments, interspersed with carols that the congregants can sing and anthems sung by the choir or soloists or performed by an orchestra. I imagine this version eliminates those pesky Lessons and strips it down to traditional carols interspersed with performances from the choirs and soloists. (Which are not sing-alongs due to altered versions done by modern composers.) I wouldn't expect the guest performers to bring any secular pop/rock into the program.

I'm not sitting on any floors unless it's to play with grandkids, but I was reminded of a trip to NYC in 1975 when my college roommate plopped down on the sidewalk in front of Tiffany's and announced, so what, these people will never see me again. (And we couldn't take selfies then.)

I'm not expert on green cards, visas and/or traveling. My now daughter-in-law is Canadian. She was in the US studying for a PhD when she met my son, so she was here on a student visa. After they were married (and had a child) he was her sponsor for a green card. During that time, she could not leave the US. The green card application seems to have gotten accelerated after she was hired by a major US company, which needed her to travel for work. Green card came through. I think the first trip is back home to western Canada

Good for Adam and Oliver.
My pet peeve is any reposting with comments about "they're so cute". They are adults in a long-term relationship by now. "Cute" sounds like a couple of teenagers or even toddlers.
My second pet peeve is in Adam's audio interviews when he refers to Oliver as his "current partner". Really, Adam, drop the "current" and just identify Oliver as your partner. It shouldn't be that hard, even if you and Oliver haven't agreed on a permanent relationship.

I don't know how to bring screen shots from Instagram over - or even how to pause them so I can read them.
But Adam is now posting on Insta in support of Oliver. He loves him, loves his style and ferocity in presenting himself.

There's a lot of division. I used to be involved in Republican politics but left when the 2016 primary was determined. (Trying hard not to be overtly political.) I belong to a liberal main-stream Protestant Episcopalian tradition which welcomes LGBTQ persons and ordains gay priests. Former friends (from 2o years ago in a Prog Rock community) have now labeled me a "Demoncrat" (literally). I was shocked when the non-partisan local school board elections were divided on the issue of books in the library. And the "conservative save the children" group was endorsed by a political committee. It was not something I expected in my hometown. Thankfully, I don't have any divisions in the immediate family for politics and policies. I am not surprised at Adam's comments today. The landscape has changed since 2009. In some cases for the positive and others for regressing negatively.

I don't know much about visas or green cards. My Canadian daughter in-law was here on a visa when she was studying to a doctorate at our state university. She was allowed to work for other colleges aligned with the master university (community colleges, for instance,) After they married, my son was her sponsor for a green card for permanent residency. The application may have been bolstered by the birth of our grandson and the d-i-l's hiring by a major international bank which requires her ability to travel. Prior to her receipt of the green card, she could not go outside of the US to attend work conferences. Nor she go visit Canada to see her family.

I don't think the black hair suits him at this point. It's an extreme from his natural color (whatever it may actually be.) The bleached look or purplish look is fun - why not? The embellished eye make-up is for the stage. It's also fun, and says "this is me". Adam is defining himself and his image as a performer. He is not going to get into stage costumes like Lil Naz X or Sam Smith. He's attached to emphasizing his eyes to express his individuality.
