deb5anne - - - Sending all good wishes to you as you start your chemo. You are such a positive ray of light on this forum; I feel like you are a good friend to all of us. Adamtopians have been a source of comfort and great support through challenges I've faced in the past decade; and the courage and inspiration of one Adam F Lambert has buoyed my spirits and heart along the way. Hope to see you in Las Vegas!

STRESSFUL!!!!
But worth it!! As soon as I'd click on tickets in row A B or C they would notify me 'someone has just claimed these tickets' and I'd have to start again! But, able to get two tickets in section 2 row D . . . I guess four rows from the stage, and in the center, is pretty good!
WooHoo!!! Gonna see Adam!!! It's been a LONG TIME COMING!!!!

Just for fun go look at the responses, hilarious! think most of you know that this is Adam when he performed in "110 Degrees in the Shade" at the Pasadena Playhouse in the early 2000's. I have this pic forever in my mind, because Adam looks JUST like my husband years ago! They were twins, I tell ya!!

For all of you who know Adamrocks - an amazing wonder of Adamtopia . . . There is great trauma in her life right now.
If any of you can send her a message of love, it will matter.
She is an angel among us.

Well, it's another slow day, and I can't say I'm excited about the trash pants! But, I've learned to come around and love a lot in the past year.
Tell me - has this happened to anyone else? I was instantly in love with 'For Your Entertainment', 'Trespassing', and 'The Original High'. Heck, I even loved the bastard album. But, when 'Velvet' came out, I just couldn't find a groove, an emotion, for most of the music. So, the album, for most of the past year, sat on the shelf - and I spent isolation reverting back to the life I had before Adam - before 2009 - listening to radio talk and watching television news. No art; no inspiration.
Back around 2012, while listening to Adam almost nonstop, I also started listening to Queen. At first, I just had the music on as a background, when I'd make frequent trips to Oregon (6 hour drive) to see my family. Then, there came a day when I realized "I LOVE THESE SONGS!" I learned every word and shouted them from the rooftops! Well, it's happened again!
Several weeks ago, I randomly put 'Velvet' on . . . no longer needing to (or wanting to) listen to the endless stream of news from a formerly dysfunctional government. I have become obsessed with this album! I don't know what I lacked in the past year; I heard these amazing tracks but felt listless. Now, I'm bopping around the kitchen, cleaning furiously, dusting with joy, and so, so proud of the artistry that is Adam Fucking Lambert.
I have no desire to watch the Grammy's; but I look forward to the next time Adam takes Pharaoh for a walk, or shows up, somewhere, in style - hums a tune; sings a song, smiles in make-up, bakes a pie, hosts his friends, hugs his Momma.
I'm inspired again!

Wow! Just Wow! The first concert just got betterer and betterer! I thought I'd write down the setlist as it happened. Instead, I have notes like "he took off his jacket! He brought out a stool! He sang next to Cam!" . . . along with my exclamation points when hearing "Ghosttown", the slow "If I Had You", the original "Chasing the Original High", "Loaded Smile" (I ascended to heaven with this one), "Runnin'" and "Chokehold"!!! All the music, again, was great . . . but these additions and renditions were such amazing surprises! In less than 3 hours we'll be in for another gift of the voice, and the man, who not only gives us what we want, but surely gives us what we need in this trying time. He is truly a one-and-only . . . thanks be to the Universe!
