In a loud situation like these concerts, he'd have to "yell" (i.e. talk very loudly) to be heard if his hand signals weren't enough. I'm skeptical of that word also, but for this additional reason. How many times have I heard a student at school say "he/she yelled at me" when it might have been a conversation or exchange that that student didn't like--not yelling. Who knows. Adam is such a sweetie. Everyone loves working with him. Except maybe for the sound techs. I have read repeated mentions of Adam giving the sound tech hell. I have seen videos of him walking off stage to "consult" with the tech, and he didn't look to be the sweetie pie we all know and love. I have even seen a couple of times where he was repeatedly frustrated with the sound and on stage he was "snappish" with the tech. I don't know that he would scream at someone. Not good for the voice. But I think he is totally capable of verbally flailing someone who is fckg up his ability to give a great performance. Everyone has their hot buttons and sound is his. Considering that he CANNOT sing well, that he is gonna go off pitch or strain his voice if he cannot hear correctly, I understand why.

One thing I thought about when someone posted a car full of people were driving out leaving the concert blasting "Cukoo". From a marketing perspective I wonder why Queen didn't try to get their new album done before the concerts & they could have sold their new CD's & Adam could have sold his "Trespassing" CD or even better yet maybe he could have done a CD w/ just a couple new songs on it-Like an exclusive "pre-album" CD only gotten at the concerts that would be huge. I really hope they make a full CD/Video combo deal of one of the shows & start selling it soon-I want it & "I want it now"!!! They could get it made & start selling it at the concerts-IT Would be HUGE!!! I'd stand in a 2 hr. line for that. (Went to Katy Perry & Adam & Katy's mutual friend Ferras was her opener & when you bought something they included free a CD of a couple of Ferras's songs. This is what made me think of this.

This concert was amazing. Being from Columbia, MD had no idea there were so many queen & Adam fans here & I was proud of our peeps. (I'm sure 1/2 the audience was from out of town too though). I took my 7 yr. old daughter w/ me to this one. This was my 3rd (Last one Sat.). The crowd was insane really was... people stood pretty much the entire time everywhere. We got there right @ 8:07, running to the place. Hard to run w/ 7 yr. old lagging behind. Haven't been to Merriweather in forever & I forgot how small the pavilion seating was, so that meant we were not far from the stage. It was hard to see the thrust however from my seat, had to look @ monitors to see what was going on but the stage we could see great. They couldn't do the big "Q" the roof isn't high enough, so I guess they had to amend it & make a big rectangle instead. I was surprised they even did a thrust at all I thought they would have skipped it here. They got sooooo MUCH LOVE!!! ADAM got MAJOR MAJOR LOVE-no other place screamed like that for him. I was so happy for him!!! He seemed super happy. I haven't been to any since MSG, but I think this concert he was so much more relaxed & goofy & fun, he really let loose. It was fun. I felt he was a little nervous & serious @ MSG (understandably it's a lot of pressure-can't imagine). The "Jimmy Crack corn" during the call back & forth was hysterical & then he made fun of himself-too cute. I think the crowd loved that. He also reached down into the audience 1-2 times & grabbed people's hands in the front row corner, which was very cool. They were so close I think that might be the first time he's been able to do that & was glad to see that. Also yes as mentioned when he spit this time he goes, "Oh... Shit... you have a cast on.. I"m sorry & was talking to the lady, something like you can't get it wet. Is it ok?" They showed the lady w/ a big cast on too on the screen it was funny." He made his usual comment about "Sea World up there" but didn't spit twice like he normally does after that one. I think he really felt bad. One thing that also happened tonight where I was like ...finally!!! At the end they all bow, but then Adam always steps to the side & Brian & Roger bow but it has bugged me that Adam never gets his moment to bow himself individually like he soooo deserves to!! I was annoyed that Brian didn't get Adam to the front & make him bow by himself. I was so happy tonight when that FINALLY happened!!!! So thrilled beyond words & again the cheers & clapping for Adam was deafening again just like in the middle when Brian May says "how you like the new guy?". Also Brian was great then too because everyone cheered forever, like forever....!!!! Then Brian said..."No really how do you like the new guy" Again total the cheering must have gone on for like 3 min's the first time & another 2-3 min's the second time... So loud I was shocked how everyone cheered sooo much for him. I'm pretty sure louder for him then Brian or Roger.!! Made you feel so happy & proud for him. So I hope Brian keeps letting Adam take his own bow at the end because he deserves it afterall it is Queen & Adam Lambert. Adams personality was so fun & loose. The couch he layed on his stomach feet up in the air & was still singing..."He really is an alien from another planet...who can do that?!!" Then he moved into this move where he was straight on his side his body not on the chaise at all. Almost a gymnastic, yoga type move. Again all while singing. It was great, I've never seen so many people. I am curious to know if there were 15,000 people there I wouldn't be surprised. I was so happy to hear the lawn people were there to really pay attention & listen, sometimes there people get lawn seats & just party & ignore the bands. That was really cool to hear how much they were into it too. That also really surprised me. It's easy to ignore a band when they are serving beer 10 feet away from you. Merriweather was so great, I almost sold my tickets & wasn't going to go because it can be super hot & humid here like 95 & w/ the humidity can feel like 105 but the weather was actually ok. A little humid but it could have been a lot worse. They got lucky too that it didn't thunderstorm because they happen so often here in the evenings too. Everything lined up right for us & them. Adam sang even better then the other two I had gone to. It was a super fun concert & so glad I went afterall. PS-Yes, my 7 yr. old too was like when is it over about 3/4 way through. She had to go to the bathroom twice ... was hungry even though she ate before we left...a little frustrating. She was a little tired, felt a little bad for her that people stood the whole time, because she had to stand then to see also. She had to stand on the chair too. However, was so glad & shocked to see people stand the whole time, never expected it. She had driven back w/ her dad from Buffalo that day (an 8 hour drive w/ stops) & had just gotten back an hr. before we had to leave for the concert but she loved it & was a trooper considering. She likes Adam a lot too, not as familiar w/ Queen though. PSS Ok now I need to get out of this "Queenbert" high. I'm so pumped I could jog around the neighborhood right now, even though I don't jog. So proud so proud & happy!! Tonight was great & glad Columbia was an amazing crowd....!!!

OMG....OMG, can't stop watching my videos. I'm exhausted but just can't believe this concert. Last minute I found 2 floor seats for only $69/ tic directly to the left of the end of the thrust. I'm short so when started I saw some people standing by the railing in front of thrust. I moved there & stood directly almost center right in front of the thrust. No one in front of me. The stage only. When Adam spit the champagne (it was the 3rd spit) the girls arm next to me got spit on by him. The girl 2 away from me was spit on & the girl directly next to her had some land on her arm too. She had me feel that her right arm was wet so I did ....& it was. So I touched Adam's spit/champagne/water! They were so close in front of me if Adam had anything in his teeth I could have seen it, he didn't of course. I could see every freckle on his arm, every wrinkle on Brian May....seriously AMAZINnG!!!!! I still can't believe how close I was to them. I have some videos & pics but I have an Iphone 4 so not good quality. I didn't bring my camera......so mad I didn't now. I will try to post stuff later but others probably have better quality videos. Also I'm not sure how to download them on here anyway. I will have to figure it out later. The crowd was amazing!!! adam sang the last "under pressure" too soon & then had to sing it again. They all laughed it was funny. The crowd was screaming & on their feet almost the whole time!!!! Ok got to try to get some rest off to Madison Square Garden tommorrow.

I have not abandoned ATop. I am sequestered with family, aging parents and non-stop, every moment packed commitments for this family visit. It is uncanny how many of Adam's big moments have happened while I am incommunicado with family. How does that happen? It is half past midnight and I finally have time to sneak on line and write a few lines about the concert and Adam. First, if anyone is not planning on going to a concert but might be playing with the idea... GO! Hearing Adam's voice live is a matchless experience. iPhones and home video cameras, or even professional cameras cannot capture the frequency range, the brilliance, the full resonance of Adam's voice in a venue. Secondly, while I did not think it was possible, Adam's voice is better, purer, more resonant, more refined, more controlled, more flexible than ever. That boy did not only get with a trainer to define his abs and pecs, he has been doing a lot of work on his instrument. Forgive me for blasphemy, but there were times in the past couple of years when I privately thought that Adam was getting a little sloppy, a little lazy. The repertoire did not require his utmost skill to perform, and maybe he was a little bored? Not enough challenge for such a prodigious instrument? In any case, Adam must have recognized that this Queen tour was going to be the most challenging, strenuous and exhausting enterprise he had ever undertaken. He must have been doing strength and endurance work with a vocal coach, as well as working and experimenting with different sounds and textures for different parts of his range. That head voice is beyond amazing. It doesn't sound real. He is belting out these huge rock anthems and gives the impression he still has power left in reserve. I get the impression that he knows exactly how he wants to a sing every note, every phrase, and is so in control that he can quit thinking about how he is singing and fall deep into the emotional content of the song and the performance. i could launch into how he has grown in terms of performance and mastery of the stage also, but I need to stop for now. Doesn't someone want to sponsor me to go to about ten more shows? How can Adam have improved so vastly on what I had already thought was practically perfect?j I could not agree with you more. I love your notes about how Adam has grown. I thought he was perfect on Idol, now he's like 115% perfect soooo much better. I am so thrilled he has gotten & taken on this challenge because no one in the world could sing these songs w/ the way he does & do a 2 hr. show for all these dates; no one. He is truly a perfect match for them & I am sooo proud of him & the way he's grown. Just like Paula said, "You will be Iconic, Yes you will!!!!" It's gonna happen for him I feel it & he deserves it. The next time he has a twitter party thingy I hope someone asks if he did a lot of vocal training to prepare for this queen catalog, I'm dying to know.

The crown is going to cause a civil war I kind of agree. Maybe the crown was intended for Brian & he didn't want to wear it & put it on Adam, not sure?? Not sure how the queen fans will feel about that. However, form the looks of things looks like all fans queen fans included were lovin' every second & were eating adam out of the palms of their hands, even if they might not admit it afterwards. Let's hope they have the balls like Adam does & can come out & say they eat their words & "Adam is Fuckin' UNBELIEVABLE & they were wrong for doubting him!!"
