I suffer from clinical depression, I have since a very young age. For me it's like a huge blackness is constantly pressing down on me. Mine isn't tied to anything that's happening in my life at the time it's just there . Sometimes it's so overwhelming it's hard to function other times it's just a shadow waiting , never quite going away. For anyone who wants understand how depression feels just listen to the lyrics of Adam's song "Underneath " for me it's a perfect description. My heart goes out to Brian and to anyone suffering from this horrible disease. Peace light and love to all. I knew someone who suffered from bipolar disorder who suffered intense debilitating depression during his lows.. it helped him to get a diagnosis which validated that it was a problem with his brain chemistry and not something he could "snap" out of. Here's where he went and what they have to say about depression.. I hope Brian gets some help. www.amenclinics.com/conditions/anxiety-issues/Anxiety and depression are not the result of character flaws or personal weakness; they are the result of biological problems in the brain that can be balanced. The Amen Clinics Method represents a true paradigm shift in the treatment of anxiety and depression. Rather than simply mask your symptoms, we will help you learn about , heal and optimize the organ of personality and emotion… your brain. It's true that depression is caused by a chemical imbalance mine is coupled with PTSD, from being raised by crazy people. There are many good treatment programs and medications that help. I take my medicine faithfully have had years of therapy and cope the best I can. I'm sure Brian has taken measures to deal with his depression. But sometimes it just have to wait for the veil to lift it's like life's calling but you don't have the heart to answer.

People on one of the QAL forums are saying Brian is very depressed right now and to tweet him a message to cheer him up using the hashtag #backtothelight. Anyone know anything about this? Did I miss something? I know nothing about depression but I think one of the thing that contribute to his depression IMO is missing the spot light. He's been in the spot light during Queen time and then Freddie passed away for years he had to deal with not having performing on stage in the caliber of Queen and then Adam came a long and he got to do it again and have a taste of it again. He's been enjoying it again and now in their down time I think he missed it very much. I suffer from clinical depression, I have since a very young age. OT But just needed to let everyone know that my roommate lost her battle this morning. At least her suffering is over. :( So sorry for your loss. Here's a verse I always think of when I loose a loved one, It's my hope of how death may be. I heard a voice in the wind ....it spoke my name and called me friend, It ask me please to come with haste...to a clam and ancient place. To lay in fragrant meadows green...to touch the face of one unseen , To play with moonbeams from on high... To dance across the starry sky. To know pure and endless love... to free my soul and rise above. These words drifted over me they sounded like a melody. Suddenly I felt so light...was then it whispered that I had died. Hi everyone, mostly a lurker here, but since it's a slow day...My 22 year old son recently saw Panic at the Disco perform Bohemian Rhapsody at Summerfest to a very large crowd. Knowing what a huge AL fan I am, he informed me that the lead singer from Panic was amazing and was a better singer than AL, as this singer hit some really high notes. He tried to show me a you tube, but the audio quality was poor so it was hard to tell. I looked up another version, which had over 5,000,000 views! Wow, was I surprised since I don't think any of QAL's versions come close to that amount, although we are blessed with so many versions. Which brings me to my questions. Does anyone have a particular QAL Bohemian Rhapsody that they would recommend I could show my son? Also, what does Cassie or anyone else think of Panic's version. I thought it had high energy and was pretty good, but to my very untrained ears, Adam's voice seemed far superior to the singer from Panic, although I did enjoy it. I don't want to start any wars of my singer is better than yours, but I am curious what anyone thinks. Finally, I am not sure how to post a you tube so maybe someone could add Panic's version. I think I would just refer anyone who doubts that AFL can sing Queen songs, better than any living human to Dr. Brain May and Mr. Rodger Taylor. I'm quite sure they'll confirm what we already know.

I wrote this about the tragedy wanted to share it all of you. I know it's OT and out of place delete it if it's s problem. Today our hearts are heavy Our souls can't take it no more For the darkness in humanity came knocking on our door. Our sanctuary fractured ...we searched for cause in vain, Our world quickly crumbled, and normal went insane. We'll grieve for the fallen and celebrate their lives But somewhere in tomorrow hate still grows and thrives. It's existence is ancient, it's blackened heart a twig, Any word of its banishment, clearly just a myth. Love is it's enemy and tolerance it's shame, Ignorance it's mentor and death it's only fame. So we must stand against it...those like you and I Who embrace our diversity with honor and with pride. For hate is a liar it knows no hope or truth, And if it overcomes us what ever shall we do. That is beautiful. I would love to share that - but understand if you don't want it shares on some Share away ...words have little meaning if no hears them. I'd be honored .

How horrible seems the whole world had gone insane. This is an old verse but I fear it's coming true .
I looked at insanity and it looked back at me. It looked so ordinary not horrid or diseased. I ask it please to speak its name, But it slyly held its tongue, Then looked at me with haunted eyes and misery yet unsung . It came a little closer and bade me take it's hand, But I saw inside its blackend heart and prepared to make a stand, Was then I recognized it like letters in the sand... I'd know it name all along It was the plight of man .
I've never been an optimist but my love for Adam has somewhat changed that . I find so much hope in his beauty and spirt that sometimes I allow myself to believe that perhaps we will have a different plight. Then , as sure as the wind blows humanity steps up to try and dishearten me. Sent from my iPhone

I REALLY understand you very much, cause I feel the same way... lol! my feelings are very "mature" and well defined: (my apologies for this valuable contribution to the discussion...the 5 year old in me just couldn't help...) Sadly when it comes to Adam I'm always 5 ????
