Yikes! Nicki Minaj moved her date to April 3rd! I know she sucked last night and that Stupid Hoe song and video was a bust, but she sold a ton of cds last time. :( Hey...Nicki Minaj may not be yours or my cuppa but what standard are we using when we call something a bust!! In 3 weeks her official Stupid Hoe vid has just shy of 30 million views...Adam should have such a bust. The grammy performance last night looks to have close to 200,000 views on amateur vids. I think back to when Madonna came out with her SEX book and film...seems to me if Madonna has a current protege it would be Nicki over Gaga for daring and rule-breaking. The problem I see for Gaga currently, and Nicki in the near future, is that if you keep going for novelty and shock value, you end up simply competing with yourself. This road looks a bit like an auction where two people keep on upping the bid on a prize, and periodically bid against themself... Madonna was smart and completely re-invented herself rather than keepin on to up her own ante. Just my opinion. Adam seems to be avoiding this trap....he is a smart man...good for him. Nicki cracks me up.. its like both wacky and a train wreck at the same time. Although I can away from the Stupid Hoe despite not being able to watch the entire thing. There something strange, offensive and alluring about at the same time. I really don't understand it.

With all due respect, but how in the world is RITD a good fit for URBAN radio? I'm sorry, don't see it. She only got played on every effin station under the sun because the song smashed and you couldn't escape it. If it wouldn't have been a hit no waaaay would urban radio play it. Or pop tbh. Adele got super lucky, because let's face it her album was AMAZING but there is A LOT of amazing material put out every year that never gets exposure because radio doesn't latch on to it. Adele is an example of a perfect storm and that doesn't happen often THISSSSSSSSSSSSSS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Ooooh ok I kinda want. What do we think is the best for exposure, prestige, etc? The Jubilee thing? (I dunno abt that for the US I don't even recall that being shown here and never heard anything about this celebration before tbh) The Olympics? A festival like Sonisphere? Which one would be most amazing?? I mean I don't care, I will take whatever. Just curious. I wonder if they would broadcast the Jubilee in the states? hmmm I think the world exposure between the 3 events would be: Sonisphere <<<<<< Jubilee <<<<<<< Olympics Because Olympics' worldwide event, definitely people around the world will watch the opening and the closing ceremony. ;D YOu guys realize that there is not just opening and closing ceremonies... right? IF the big "O" happened.. they could easily be playing at one of the big concerts that are happening in association with the Olympics. There are 12 days of concerts being planned. Madonna is rumored to be headlining one of them.

Lambosessed lambosessed Close Must tweet & run but want to put it out there that I reckon Adam & Queen are performing at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert. WUT WOT WAT? Are they just speccing here? yeah she is, cause Brian May performed 10 years ago at the Golden Jubilee from ontop of the Buckingham Palace. Queen is legendary, and so they have to perform at the Diamond Jubilee.... That is why I don't think that Adam and Queen will be at the Olympics. I think that this is the big secret. I just found this Quote.. apparently by May.. but we know how accurate quotes are, eh? "May told ITV News on Tuesday: "I shall be watching and it'll be quite nice not to be in it this time in a sense. We're planning a few other things this year and I think people would get sick of the sight of us if we were there again."I will not be on the roof again. I think that was a one-off... but very happy that it happened. "I remember standing on the top of the roof thinking this is 50 years of rock and roll and 50 years of our Queen so I actually said to someone she's the rock n' roll Queen. So now it's 60 years. It's amazing." The quote is towards the bottom. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/the_queens_diamond_jubilee/9066128/Queens-Diamond-Jubilee-British-pop-stars-to-perform-at-tribute-concert.htmlETA: Ten years ago you stood on top of Buckingham Palace to sing God Save the Queen at the Golden Jubilee, any plans to do something similar for this year’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations? You know I could stand on top of a lot of things these days, but I never quite get the urge, I think I started at the top and there’s no way to follow that. It was an amazing experience and incredibly demanding in terms of facing fear because you walk on in front of a billion people and it had to be totally live and it was on top of this building. It was an insane thing to do but incredibly life changing, I came down from that, put my fist in the air and said “Thank you God, I didn’t screw this up” and it seemed to me at that point that nothing would ever be difficult again, if I could get through that...I love challenges, I really do, but it won’t be that challenge that I do again. There are a couple of very interesting challenges coming up this year and I’m probably not able to talk about them yet, but there are a couple of very interesting things on the cards. From BM's site. www.brianmay.com/brian/briannews/briannewsjan12.html

anyone have a link to that interview in the past day or 2 where he outright denies the sonisphere gig rumor???? thx Chunkey did u get the link? I wish I could remember which one it was, I dont watch all his interviews. I specifically recall this one and the look on his face because he made the interviewer repeat the name back to him then shook his head and said no. He certainly looked convincing to me. Or in the least it was not a date that he had been informed of.

Chiming in from Maine, here, and right now I live in a snowglobe. Can't exactly complain, though, this has been the easiest winter EVER.
Back to Adam...I often think what a dream client he must be from a PR perspective. You can always trust him to show up, work the room, not be an asshole, give great quotes, take great photos, and charm the socks off the interviewers. Hitting the radio folks backstage at the Grammy's was genius, if no doubt exhausting. He's always at his best one on one in terms of winning people over. I don't know how you do it!? I'm in VA and we really don't get too much snow at all.. but I get immensely depressed right about now every year. I've been in VA for 10 years and still have issues with the drab winters. Guess you can't take the California out of the girl, eh? Re: Adam the PR machine. I totally agree. Can you imagine being a PR person who never knows what the hell is going to come out of the client's mouth, then finding yourself doing damage control?

TOTALLY OT --- I live in Northeast Ohio where winter = lots of snow and below freezing temperatures. But it has been in the 60's and sunny for most of the winter. Today it is snowing and it is so beautiful. The kind of sparkly snow that looks like plastic Hollywood movie snow!! Back to Adam ---- LOL I DK where in Ohio you are but I am right on the lake (west of cleveland) and it is fucking windy and snowy and blowing and gross. LOL. Do you live in a snowglobe? lolol LOL! that gives me visions of sweet teens ice skating in the town square with fuzzy white hand mufflers while to old folks sip hot chocolate from the park benches. My snow reality is the same as yours.. although we've seen next to nothing this year.

Also he said he is working with Bruno on a new song that is being produced by Dr.Luke for the next few weeks.... Hmmm I don't know about that.... Maybe since he already said in London that the Bruno Mars song on the album is Never close your eyes maybe it's this song but with Dr. Luke producing it? So another vibe to it? Didn't sound exactly like he was talking about another song to me. 2 Bruno Mars songs? IDK lm2718. He did say prior that the Bruno song was on. Hopefully he is talking about this one and not another new song.

Oh and something else from the Lyndsey Parker interview. He is soooo singing at the Olympics. Mark my words. I'm a Psychic. LOL. And the collab is with JJ. LOL. And when none of them is true, I allow you to make fun of me. LOL again. I'm a little more iffy on the Olympics (only because I don't dare jinx it) & I'm right there with you on JJ!
