I used to post frequently on this board under a different name. I still love Adam and follow him every day. Went to QAL this summer. Love Superpower! I recently showed Superpower to my boss who had never heard of Adam and now she loves him. She printed out a picture of him for her bulletin board and asks me about him daily. Just thought I’d share.

I don't think most people are very engaged on social media. Some of the people disappeared years ago but still show up as followers. My musician friends say the best ways to support are buy the songs, come to concerts and buy merch, and stream. It's supposed to be fun.

Can anyone explain the meaning/usage of the word "Rep" in "Rep for them aliens"? Is there an Urban meaning? Representing like "Eighties Represent!" 🙂

How old are you? I'd bet way younger than me. All of my friends, in their 60's, do not ever stream music! I've even volunteered to put mp3 files on their smartphones and no one is interested. They are doing good to play CDs. Lord help us when they buy new cars with no CD players! As for myself, I am very high tech, but I only occasionally play music from Spotify. When audio quality doesn't matter, I buy the CD from Amazon which has an instant auto-rip mp3 download that is included with many physical CDs. Mostly I want higher quality audio than streaming allows and mp3 files provide, so I mostly buy albums, convert to high quality digital files, and downloaded to a large capacity SD card in a smartphone. Or I buy & download high quality audio files directly from an online music store that sells high def music. Mid fifties, so not that young! I work with a lot of people in their 30-40's. Plus my kids and husband stream all their music. I am 52. We don't even have a record store in our town. Unless your taste is totally mainstream you stream. A lot of people use Amazon Music as well as Spotify.

About the audience energy level that could have been a bit higher: I always wondered why the floor in the US is filled with chairs. It seems to be such a weird thing to have seats at a rock concert? I am hoping for something like this when they get into Europe Having said that: my energy level sometimes couldn't be higher then when I'm totally still. Transfixed, hypnotized, totally taken up to another reality. Often happens when I'm listening to Adam. So... no jumping up and down doesn't mean an audience that isn't into the show. Hi Nic......don't know if this has already been said but someone asked this question about floor seats a little while ago. Can't remember who answered but...years ago in the US, there was a stampede of fans to get close to the stage at a concert - with many being crushed to death. So it was made a legal requirement to have reserved seating to avoid any chance of it happening again. Can't stay to read now but I think there are RECAPS!!! My favourite things,....the more detailed the better.....can't wait to catch up. (.....and what a night at HB2! Have seen only a few minutes but you can just tell it was special....) Thank you to all recappers in advance.... In 1979 at a Who concert in Cincinnati 11 were killed and dozens injured in a rush for GA. Many rules for large concerts go back to this incident.

marionm, every show is "the best show ever,"
Interesting discussion about Freddie. I like him better now than I ever did at the time -- and it's because now I know he was a nice person off stage. That never came across to my younger self.

I think having died young is key to Freddie's mystique.

I love the new song. To me it seems like a standalone to energize the fans and share something very personal.
