Can't believe its been almost 10 years since I first saw Adam. It was on the day after the Idol finale and I finally got to see Adam live in November 2017. Although I registered here only in 2017, I've been lurking on idolforums, planetfierce, adamofficial forums & adamtopia since the start. Thank you for keeping this place running & keeping us all up-to-date on all things Adam. Massive thanks to everyone who posts here everything from statistics to videos to newbie tweets etc etc etc. I might not post often but I'm here almost everyday. Love Glamily

Happy New Year!!! The best Adam moment for me was the whole Berlin QAL concert. From hanging all day in the queue with awesome people to the concert itself - it was amazing. For all those who had some hardships this year remember - we are as strong as we want to be. Don't let anyone or anything ever bring you down, first of all yourself. PS: all I can think of is Radio Gaga *khm* sorry...Adam solo, Adam solo, Adam solo...

I can't help but wonder if it would have been the same reaction if Halsey was not part of LGBQT. Would they have cared if 2 straight female dancers danced this rutine? It does feel like it is going backwards the news anchors are not wrong.

Whenever Adam speaks out his mind I can't help but be so very happy that I have found this beautiful artist and human being. It makes me happy and proud being a glambert & being part of glamily.

@madmax I understand where you are coming from with this perspective. Certain things are frustrating for a lot of people. But one should not forget that Adam fans are still just people like all the rest and being fans doesn't change that. Holding glamberts to higher standarts than the rest is wrong in my opinion, although a lot of people in this fandom are more open minded than some from what I found being in Glamily for the last 9 years. Open-mindness is one of the resons I love being in this fandom. Everyone is different and has different views and its always going to be that someone has a view somebody else doesn't agree with. I believe everyone wants the state of the world affairs to be better than they are but one can't change society overnight. Adam is a public figure. It comes with the job. Trolls are trolls whether they chose to coment on Adam posts or tell mean things to their neighboors in real life. Social media can be a positive thing but like with everything else in life it has negative sides to. How everyone choses to use it it is up to each individual. But everyone should not forget that as long as everyone is free to even voice an opinion we are good. I don't condone any kind of abuse and one can always report it. Lets remember that not everyone is even free to have a voice in the world. I personally would rather see both positive and negative, opinions I agree and disagree with, than not. I love this board as it is much more positive than other places.

I dont think you get the purpose of this site. Like his music. Dont llike his music, well might nt be a fan. OR trolling Would Adam be succesfull wiithout Queen? Well without the success of his solo career. He prob would of not been in a position to work with Queen. Ghost Town was his biggest hit. He prob wouldent be doing stadiums without QAL. But like I said he had a succesfull solo career before Queen. And his last solo tour in 2015-2016. Was succesful. Elaevan’s question has merit even though many may choose not to consider it. Do you really think if he had blown up big with the first album, like Sam or Shawn did, he would even be doing the Queen thing? I think not. Queen filled a void financially, emotionally, visibly, and to some extent creatively when the going got rocky. That is a good thing for Adam in many ways but it also has its drawbacks. Without Queen would he have been hungrier, would he have explored other avenues, other visions, other paths to be heard? So many unknowns but one thing is certain, if you have no music out no one will hear it. I think if Adam had become as big as Sam Smith (I just don't see him being like Sheeran as he is not everybody's cup of tea artist) he would probably not do Queen tours but a couple of one-off for special occasions like the BBC , Awards shows, charity concerts etc. Sort of like Elton John did with Queen in the 90's. I bet Adam didn't think even after the short mini tour for anti Aids in 2012 that QAL would become a permanent gig. It would probably be a chance he would not pass because he is a fan and he would have worked out a few concerts to do it for himself mostly.

lelemaple Thanks for the info! Cue glamberts not blinking during the movie LOL! I'm going to the premiera on 1st november in my country. I'm a big fan of Rami cause of Mr.Robot. Can't believe how fast time flies. Wicked is on 29th - can't wait to see Adam back on primetime tv.

Driving around doing errands I was listening to my pre-Idol Adam playlist. While an Upright Cabaret number was playing I thought how much Adam's world has changed in ten years. From a gig in a supper club with an audience of less than 100, to massive tours in arenas and stadiums. So thrilled for him! Adam has said many times that he is most at home, most comfortable, most alive when on stage. Combine that with the great music that is Queen and the camaraderie the guys share and I totally understand why Adam continues to perform with Queen. Especially since he doesn't have new material for a solo tour. I do not believe for a minute that Queen is pre-empting his solo work or that he is postponing it in order to continue with Queen. I say, "Go for it, Adam!" The one thing I'm 1000 % certain of (if we compare Adam to other lets say C- listers) is that without Queen we would have had so much less Adam performing live - than in any other scenario. Less performing in front of huge audiences. Adam is not going to be like A-listers (as much as I would have wanted that for him) the likes of Bieber or Sheeran or other teen Idols. It just doesn't work like that in this business. Might be he would have gotten some more tv and movie gigs (those seem not that easy to get either) without QAL to fill in the time between albums but it's not the same as doing what Adam does best -perform live in front of a live audience. I just don't think Adam is the type of artist to release an album each year "run-of-the-mill ' sort. Without QAL he would have gone back to musical theater sooner imho - which I can see in his future after QAL ends. It seemed to me the timing of some offers from Broadway didn't work cause of QAL. Adam can't go long without being in front of a live audience. Broadway is great but its not arena tours either and it certainly doesn't pay as well as QAL does. Best of both world to quote Adam- a solo career and a huge side gig

I'll throw in a funny idea, what if by *giant tour* its not the number of dates but the venue sizes? IF BoRap will elevate Queen to more popularity than it is nowadays -arenas won't do anymore for QAL. Last time in 2014-2015 they sold out the tours so fast. By the time they did BBC NY there weren't tix left to buy for a lot of people who saw Queen with Adam on TV for the first time. Might be they can do stadiums -to fit the demand. That will require change of the show again, might be the "Frank is retiring" too cause it will not work in stadiums. Just a thought. YAY! for the newly mentioned SAG-AFTRA benefit appearance. We'll wait and see. Adam might not get to stay in that new house so long next year. He will be really really REALLY busy
