Don't know whether this is true or just speculation but I read that it was because the M&G took so long. You have to determine which portion wasn't planned. From what I saw the actual planned to the actual time was just 1/2 hour so yes that would be meet and greet. But the voices of displeasure talked about two hours from the start time and that seemingly was at least partly planned because I thought I saw a schedule that had a DJ play and then the time between that and Adam was to be filled with the costume contest. You are correct. Bamafan and I were there and the radio station did not tell the audience the schedule for the event, although people interested in the costume contest knew the results would be announced on stage after 9:00. TALCvids tweeted out a picture of the schedule we saw on the wall as we went from the Jack Daniels club to the GA floor. It said the DJ would be on from 7:00 to 9:10, and then Adam would be on from 9:30 to 10:15. The costume contest was on stage after the DJ, and then they started the M&G, which had a very long line. There was no way they could do the costume contest and M&G in 20 minutes. Unfortunately since the general audience did not know the schedule, many assumed Adam was going to start at 8 and was therefore 2 hours late getting on to the stage. He wasn't, and the delay was not his fault. All that aside, as you have seen and heard, Adam gave us an amazing show, and we gave him lots of love and energy on behalf of ourselves and the fans we knew were watching and listening from home. Bamafan and I were standing next to the TALC gals in the second row on the floor, so their view was our view. I'm sure Bamafan will have more to say later! I'm so glad we were able to go.

Yes, but those are smallish venues in a land of many millions of folks. But, dont' get me wrong, I'm all for SOLD OUT ...wherever he is. I haven't kept up with the OZ/NZ shows. I think a couple of those are SOLD OUT. Pretty sure all the OZ & Japan venues are pretty small. Yes; the venues in Melbourne and Sydney are the same ones he used for GNT.

Just to be clear...not angry but it is really easy to be mis-attributed....I did not at any time mention older bands...I have never seen either of the bands mentioned, and Sandysva only mentioned them as an example of a format I suggested would be great. Linda, you make a cogent point except its roots are in sand....just saying... the next commenter will assume you requote us and the line of reasoning turns into good fan/bad fan, or young fan/old fan...sigh... eta...I see sandysva clarified things so it is all good... Mszue and sandysva, my unqualified apologies to both of you. My fault for not reading more carefully. I sometimes find that I am reacting to the gist of a number of posts and then when I don't read carefully, I mis-read according to my thought and not the actual content.Thank you my friend, see you Wednesday!

Mszue and Sandysva, I love these bands as well but in many ways you guys are confirming why Adam needs to cultivate the younger demographic. These bands are the bands that we loved in our tweens, teens, and twenties and that is why we are still going to see them in our 40s, 50s, and 60s. Being big with a younger audience does not guarantee longevity but it does open the door to touring for a very long time. My resources are not extensive (think quick Google search) but Kelly Clarkson/Nick Jonas canceled tour dates were for the remainder of the NA tour in November and December. Demi's world tour does not start until February 2016, so there is something else going on here other than Nick Jonas was suddenly available because Kelly's cancellation would not effect 2016 touring. If negotiations were indeed as far along as was stated, I can imagine there was hard feelings, certainly among the negotiators (this would not be Adam and Demi personally) who were dealing in good faith. I'd be pissed. Would I talk to TMZ, probably not. We'll see how it plays out. Linda I agree with you. My point wasn't about these bands in particular but how artists working together can produce a great show while cultivating whatever demographic they want.

Adam would not publicly admit to being pissed if he was doing a Rumplestiltsken split so only time will tell us the story there...as i suggested in an earlier post. What would make for a great concert and touring concept would be for artists to actually mount a show together rather than one doing their thing and then the other, in an hierarchal manner. It would take more original planning, but it would give artists more vocal breaks, would keep audiences from dispersing early, and allows for a 'bigger' show. Adam would be great at a concept like that but not sure who he could do that with. Some have mentioned Pentatonix...great show idea...but doesnt push Adams pop goals i suspect...Demi would have been a good choice for that bot doubt she would. How fabulous would a recreation of Zodiac be!?! With major Adam focus...Now that would be a show worth going to!!M. Dream on..... ETA..fwiw, and that is not much I know, it is funny that Adam claims to value loyal fan bases and longevity, then chases the most fickle, short lived fan base possible...young pop! It seems nonsensicle with a hugh rock base ready for the picking after his Queen shows...and we see they stick around. And he could scale the musical theatre heights as well...he is just hitting his prime in these fields rather than sitting at an age disadvantage in pop. Well as they say...the heart wants what the heart wants, I suppose. Mzsue, I agree with your touring concept. The best concert I attended this summer (after Adam at Morongo of course) was Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire together here in Virginia Beach a few weeks ago. They have been doing these joint tours in addition to their own tours for a long time. It was fabulous to see these two great bands on stage in one evening. They performed several of each other's songs at the beginning, then EWF did a set, Chicago did a set, then they were both back on stage performing together again to finish up. If anyone is a fan of either or both bands, I invite you to check out a YouTube of them performing 25 or 6 to 4 to conclude any of their joint concerts. It blew us out of our seats. I'd love to see Adam with some of the other artists mentioned today.

*Yeah Titties* @tattoojoBoth Sydney shows and Adelaide look sold out Tickets for all shows in Australia, including the two newly added ones, went on sale yesterday, Friday August 7, via ticketmaster.com.au Adam Lambert's Original High Tour Dates: January 25, 2016: Palais Theatre, Melbourne (Not many tickets left and all are in the rear of the upper level.) The tickets for Adelaide and Sydney were for sale on Ticketek.com.au and not on Ticketmaster. That's why Ticketmaster only shows the link to TM resale (they're not going to link to Ticketek). There are still tickets available for all 3 shows on Ticketek.com but they are going fast!!! eri9 - Thank you for your wonderful recap!!! Good luck with the Auckland ticket sales!

Thanks! I had heard other callers request FYE and WWFM, so when they were looking for a throwback, I picked IIHY, since that was his other successful song from era #1. If I had more time to think I might have picked something from Trespassing - as it was I had been expecting to be able to request Ghost Town to get it another spin! Congrats to all of the South Florida gals - I hope you all have a wonderful time! Oops! I got your request mixed up. No problem! I was glad to see that they spun GT twice and played three of his other songs while he was there.

I confess - yes, that was me! I was calling in to request Ghost Town and got through; I almost had a heart attack when they answered and Adam came on. The purple chamber thing threw me for a few seconds, but my brain kicked into gear and of course I HAD to request an Adam song! He seemed surprised and happy. I'm glad the DJ did not press me on what I had for dinner because my mind went blank lol. Well, congratulations! I thought it was great to request FYE. He's probably thrilled to have someone request his first single, which never made a splash like he hoped. Thanks!
